So, I've no idea if anyone else has mentioned this little slice of technological heaven, but I searched the forum briefly only to find not a single remark about the subject, so I assume that I am the town crier in this situation.

This is, from what I can tell, a cross-platform, free-to-play platformer. This doesn't look to be some cheesy flash-inspired attempt at a platformer, but rather something.......more. The graphics aren't exactly the best, but for an online game that is meant to be stretching its reach to as many computers as possible, they're damned good.
The objective of the game is simply to get from Point A to Point B without completely sucking. Though there are many developer-created levels and challenges to choose from, the real beauty is that 'John Everyman' (or 'Joan Everyguygamersfantasy' if you like) can create his/her own levels. The levels can be huge and complex, I am speaking dozens of layers all complete with moving and crumbling floors. The editor looks to be user friendly and fairly easy to use. I say 'looks to be' because I'm not cool enough to be in the beta yet. I've just been mesmerized by the many videos that are posted on the site showing off developer and user creations, tid-bits of the editor, and of course a fully rendered cinematic of a random dude jumping around, risking his life in dare-devilish maneuvers with a smile on his face.
The road to success is paved with the bones of those slower and weaker than you.

(This video gives an example of what is possible in Atmosphir at present.)
For anyone that has always wanted to create their own 3D platforming level, I encourage you to go to www.atmosphir.com and give it a try. The company behind Atmosphir -- Minor Studios -- has just released a very major update: different planes of gravity. This gives any surface a flat, cylindrical or spherical gravity, much like Super Mario Galaxy has. NPCs are also in the works, as well as scripting. Check it out!
Nope.
