The one thing I'm most interested to hear about is stuff like how they're handling weapon upgrades and attachments. Assuming they're even taking that aspect of CoD4.
Also whether there's a decent shotgun. The first shotgun in CoD4 remains my favourite weapon.
The attachments I've seen include a bipod for the BAR, bayonets for the rifles, a scope for the bolt-action models, which means there isn't a specific sniper version of the weapons, a grip for the shotgun, silencer for the SMGs, and a ring and bead sight that handles like an analog WWII version of the red dot.
The shotty seems to require spot-on accuracy to kill in one shot, even at relatively close range. So it doesn't strike me as terribly useful at this point. I've had better luck with sidearms.

I read that there was going to be a sawed off shotgun with massive close range spread but no accuracy otherwise.
the more I play this game the less I like it I think it really comes down to the weapons (thus far)... I basically hate all of them. I think CoD4 spoiled me with their assault rifles and LMG's. The spawn system is also beyond frustrating. Every game I've played has basically devolved into who can get into who's spawn area and confuse the shit out of everyone the longest. I'm hoping it'll be fixed but I somehow doubt it.

*cough* Beta *cough*
you have far more faith in game devs than I do.
It's cause I'm from BC, Canada so all that pot has warped my fragile little mind.
Gotta echo the CoD 4.5 thing since it hasn't been said enough, it's not a bad thing but meh.
The one thing that does bother me though is how shitty the maps are, they look great and are pretty complex but maybe too complex. Like, cluster fuck complex there are no frontlines anywhere and it feels like team deathmatch may as well be deathmatch, can't count how many times I've spawned right next to an enemy only to be shot. You know it's bad when you watch their kill cam and see your character spawn in.
Sounds like the Call of Duty 4 Spawn system at work!
so basically, I hate dogs. Is there even a point in killing them (aside from you know, living?). They seem to just respawn endlessly until the duration is up... it's pretty fucking gay and it makes it ridiculously easy to re-up your kill streak to 7 again. Granted, I've been abusing the shit out of this too but god does it suck to be on the recieving end.
I found a new weapon I like. The 3rd machine gun feels exactly like my RPD of CoD4. The bipod still feels like a completely worthless attachment. Seems like wherever I set it up, I'm unable to look in one direction or the other. For instance, in War the middle flag of castle (from jap side), there's that little window on the bottom floor looking into the flag room. I setup the bipod there and I can't look left, only right. Silly. I probably misplaced it by a centimeter or something, but it's just far too picky.
I'm convinced the entire rifle class weapons (bolt/auto) are worthless in non-hardcore modes. Think I'm going to have to get use to playing Hardcore more to get any enjoyment out of this game. Not looking forward to getting 1-shotted by dogs on HC though
Its usually more efficient to just let the dog charge you and then knife him.
I've had mixed results with this. I guess sometimes my crosshair is right on the dog, so I do the run and stab thing... but the hit boxes or something is fucked up, because it doesn't do anything to the dog 50% of the time. So I end up having to not directly aim at the dog so I do the running swipe and that kills them but gah.... frustrating.

Yeah, I forgot about the double-barreled shotgun. That's in, but I haven't tried it yet.
Even the normal one will take somebody out at "knife me" range.

[strike]Yea. [/strike]
I used this yesterday and got a code, but the thread says it is dead now so, I guess I'm just a liar.

(EDIT) I guess they updated and I never noticed. Hardcore mode added and some other shit.
