Yes, come to think of it, actually maybe it wasn't such a bad tradeoff after all since I'd just have sucked as a scout and then got pissed off to change to sniper and blast all your puny little heads off...that I'm now imagining as little sacks of dust.
Shit I wonder if I can make the sniper in lbp. To the PS3!
That 3 seconds feels like an eternity. I've already missed a dozen clean kills because I was stuck semi-invisible while dudes had their back turned, unable to make any attacks.
I do love the cloak though. One time I got behind a team on goldrush, 5 people were pushing the cart and I chain backstabbed every single one of them. Never work on a PA server but it's fun on pubs. PAers are too aware. Get one backstab in and suddenly the entire team is pyros spraying flames into corners.
PA, while harder, isn't that bad. For me it really depends on who's playing pyro/scout. Just learn guile and trickery. And if you have a method that works a large % of the time, keep the secret to yourself.
Playing a Spy is like playing a magician: when you're done, the other team should be yelling "HOW THE FUCK DID HE GET THERE AND DO THAT?!"
Sometimes you will just get a sense that someone is a spy for no real reason
I saw a pyro the other day and just started healing, healing, healing
Then I just get this hunch
And stab him to death with my shank
Huh, spy.
Yeah for some reason after you've played so much you can spot spies really, really well. Many times, I'll see a dude and be all THAT ______ IS A SPY KILL HIM PEOPLE KILL HIM, but if I stopped to ask myself why I thought he was a spy, I wouldn't have a good answer for myself. So I shoot him anyway and he almost always falls dead as a spy (or backstabs the uber-ready medic and then heavy and THEN falls dead because my aim sucks)
Sometimes playing as a spy I'll get a little pissed when people tag me all the time when I've done nothing wrong, but I do the same to them, so its all good
Goddamnit I was playing littlebigplanet today while you guys were doing this argh just an hour earlier and I would have been able to join in.
Perhaps we shall have another Zissou sponsored event this weekend. Maybe another honc night. I didn't get to try some of the maps I really wanted to try.

Funny thing is that pubs never seem to be able to spot a spy unless they're undisguised and yelling spy at everything.
Then again, I more or less exclusively play scout so a lot of my time is spent running around leading me to quite often seeing/killing spies.
There are bad rounds of ZP. You complainers probably came around at the bad moments. But overall, the game is good because of the people. If it wasn't with PAers, I wouldn't play the game.
Also, I need to get in on some Team Zissou some time. Never played TF2 drunk. Hell, I've never been fall-on-my-face drunk at all. But part of that is because I can't stand the taste of beer. Its not that its too strong, I just don't like it. Rum or Vodka are more my style. Can any of you drunkards recommend me a drink along those lines? Or am I going to have to whip me up some early home-made egg nog?
Drink a whisky; they all taste the same (at least JD, Bells and Famous Grouse do). A whisky with coke as a mixer doesn't really taste like alcohol. Make sure you don't eat too much either (nothing is preferable!); you get drunk quicker that way. Now mix in some vodka and mixers in there as well because mixing drinks is good. If you like ciders mix those in there as well.
I don't know about actual proper mixed drinks.
Shot wise Jagermeister is pretty good.
edit:
So, in conclusion:
No food:
Whisky + mixer then Vodka + mixer then Cider then back to Whisky + mixer (go for doubles if you're up to it)
Also I advise against vomiting because:
1. It's not very nice.
2. Youre vomiting up alcohol!
edit edit:
When spychecking as a pyro I find it helps if I don't think. TOOT FLAMES, PYRO. TOOT.

I don't mind getting back stabbed since I play sniper a lot, but if you're going to play spy, plese do NOT think you are good if you only go for snipers. Lately it's been really bad to where I get spys backstabbing me right in front of a sentry, or a spy stabs if when he could of gotten a medic with an uber. basically every spy has turned in to a kamikazi and will kill a sniper even though he knows the 5 other people around him are going to kill him anyway.
I don't care how badly you want to rack up points, it does not in any way mean you are good.
Am I the only one that hates liquor? Beer's where it's at. Don't tell me you don't get drunk off of beer cause then you obviously aren't drinking enough.

I hate all alcohol, but just because of the taste, not because it's bad for me or whatever. I would totally drink anything if I could get past the taste. I had a vodka 7 just recently and couldn't even enjoy that. It's like I'm always forcing it to try to get drunk and I never even get buzzed.
I really see no reason to drink, considering I hate the taste, it's fucking expensive, and it seems to take a lot to get me drunk. Peer pressure and getting buzzed is the only reason I can really think of.

I despise beer (and lager...I don't actually know the difference though). At my uncle's 40th there wasn't any whisky, cider or even bloody vodka so I tried a Millers and it took me an hour to get half way through that disgusting taste before the beer turned warm and just became completely undrinkable.
Tennets is piss-water.

Because spies never shoot?
People are constantly shooting, trying to run up their frag count. Heavies spin up their gun, demos bank pipes off walls, pyros puff around corner, engineers swing their wrench.. everyone is always constantly shooting. You see a dude not shooting and it immediately fires off warnings.
Even if there's no fights in the area, people are usually doing something.. swinging their melee weapon, spamming voice commands, hopping around, whatever.

Just gonna say - lager is a type of beer. Other most popular one is bitter/ale. Warm beer is also disgusting.

Despite going to gay bars, having gay friends, and drinking gay drinks, I am in fact straight. But I have nothing against homosexuals.

I like how he tries to be all scientific about it "imagine it like a sphere, no wait a POKEBALL!"
Though the video is pretty informative. I was still under the impression that the "backstab" was keyed to the animation, not the position of the attack.
I bet that dude gets a lot of people bitching about him lagging or warping behind him, especially on those corner death-from-above stabs.
Spies are pretty easy to spot once you realize that a spy's disguise will be in the white, but won't have full health. If you see someone coming from your spawn with damage on them, send a few shots their way. Or if they are running away from combat and they aren't in the red, probably a spy.
Or if they walk over a health pack and the amount of health they have doesn't change but the health pack disappears.
This of course, only works when they aren't the dirty bastard spies that decloak behind you and stab you.
