I think asiina thought i was mad at her yesterday, but in reality, I've always despised her :P :whistle:
That 3 seconds feels like an eternity. I've already missed a dozen clean kills because I was stuck semi-invisible while dudes had their back turned, unable to make any attacks.
I do love the cloak though. One time I got behind a team on goldrush, 5 people were pushing the cart and I chain backstabbed every single one of them. Never work on a PA server but it's fun on pubs. PAers are too aware. Get one backstab in and suddenly the entire team is pyros spraying flames into corners.
PA, while harder, isn't that bad. For me it really depends on who's playing pyro/scout. Just learn guile and trickery. And if you have a method that works a large % of the time, keep the secret to yourself.
Playing a Spy is like playing a magician: when you're done, the other team should be yelling "HOW THE FUCK DID HE GET THERE AND DO THAT?!"
I don't mind getting back stabbed since I play sniper a lot, but if you're going to play spy, plese do NOT think you are good if you only go for snipers. Lately it's been really bad to where I get spys backstabbing me right in front of a sentry, or a spy stabs if when he could of gotten a medic with an uber. basically every spy has turned in to a kamikazi and will kill a sniper even though he knows the 5 other people around him are going to kill him anyway.
I don't care how badly you want to rack up points, it does not in any way mean you are good.

yeah I don't go after snipers, unless I hear "!@#(* sniper". Usually they are too far back to get to. I usually go for medics/heavies first, heavies are easier since medics are smart enough to move around.
Medics with an uber ready are almost always my first priority.
And yeah, heavies are also easier to hit because all the medics on PA servers (except me) seem to be smart enough to always watch the rear of the pair...no real point watching your heavy, you know what he's doing. So instead they provide 360 security so that it's impossible to sneak up on the pair.
However, if they aren't fast enough on the mic often you can stab the heavy before the medic can kill you, and if nobody else was around a medic alone is often a medic without long to live anyway.
Of course, this is only about 4 hours of experience as spy talking. But I'm really starting to enjoy it.
I hate all alcohol, but just because of the taste, not because it's bad for me or whatever. I would totally drink anything if I could get past the taste. I had a vodka 7 just recently and couldn't even enjoy that. It's like I'm always forcing it to try to get drunk and I never even get buzzed.
I really see no reason to drink, considering I hate the taste, it's fucking expensive, and it seems to take a lot to get me drunk. Peer pressure and getting buzzed is the only reason I can really think of.
I love beer and i love booze. Both have different qualities.
Beer/Lager: Must have an acquired taste, much like Coffee or penis. Once you get used to a type of beer you're into though, exotic or not, that first few sips is like heaven. I currently enjoy the tastes of Magic Hat and Flying Dog both with crazy flavors and my favorite, Hefenweizen.
Whiskey/Bourbon/Rum/Gin/Tequilla: Love it all, gets the job done and quick. This is much like the acquired tastes of the beer, but less emphasis on drinking the beverage straight. The straight drinkin is enjoyed by people who have already probably gotten used to the liquor/type and therefore has passed out with his/her booze still thrown up on their sleeves.
1 part Whiskey/Bourbon
2 Ice cubes
possible dash of lime/salt
= buttsex of the liver.
LOL you either must be buying $50 bottles of vodka or something, cause really man, you aint doin it right.
1) Go to local Liquor store
2) Buy vodka labeled "Caldwell's" or "Rubenoff" - priced at about $5 for a bottle enough to make you play TF2 naked.
3) Get your favorite chaser/masker. The more citrusy, the better. This masks naturaly the taste of the vodka (and sometimes gin). I prefer cranberry juice AND orange juice, sometimes mixed together makes a nice concoction.
Trust me Quaz, you won't taste a thing if you mix it good enough and have about 3-4 of those and you'll be set.

i agree i hate it all too, excluding one beer called fruli, its strawberry beer, and tastes amazing. other than that, i cant say i drink often.. oh and peroni is nice occasionally.. though still tastes like piss compared to fruli

Also drinking straight whisky is alright as long as you're not drinking it like a shot; when I go out drinking at home (wee island) after the pubs close at 1am (you can hang around until 2 but then you're definately being kicked out on your arse) you've got no more drink unless you've bought a carry-out so I always filled a hip-flask with whisky and that kept me going for another hour or so. Plus having a hip-flask is damn cool. Whisky with water as the mixer is alright as well.

Soooo many times I've seen a Sniper scoped, nobody around, and decided to try and sneak up on him as a Soldier and e-tool his ass to death. Generally on Well (CP).
Still haven't managed it, though. Some smartass Scout or Pyro always comes along and ruins my fun.

oh no I've tried most drinks.. I'm a 3rd year uni student and the 1st year was a lot of drinking.. so i guess it kind of put me off. there's drinks i can stomach, but i don't enjoy drinking them.. Fruli, and Peroni are the only ones i can enjoy. sour apple shots are pretty nice.. and vodka with cranberry juice/orange juice/lemonade are all good, but like i said i just don't enjoy drinking in general, its just not a pleasure to do, except Fruli.. which I guess affects my view on how it tastes. Also the 1st alcoholic thing i drank was Guinness, and thats just a bad thing to happen. I might join in one night, but we'll see...
As a spy, going reasonably out of one's way to nail a sniper is great. Not because it takes them out of the game an appreciable amount of time, but doing it enough will frustrate them, eroding their accuracy and making them paranoid of lurking spies when you probably aren't even there. Entirely psychological. This doesn't mean I'll try to stab a sniper chillaxin with a sentry, mind. (Well, it might, since that tends to be the most FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF inducing thing a spy can possibly do)

If you can you could always get a bottle of Buckie. It's the neds choice of drink. Never had it before but apparently it's cheap and strong. Also Ted Leo sings about it and thus, to me, even with ned connotations it must have some good to it.
I've only ever played TF2 once when properly pissed. After a night out I got in at like 4am and started playing it. When pyros circle strafed me I was confused as all hell when the red kept on spinning around my screen. Played it with a couple of drinks in me but only once at that standard of pure out-of-my-head-edness. It was very fun.
So when will the medical reports that links liver disease to first person shooters come out?

You've got to try "Circus Boy" or "Fat Angel" they're both my personal favorite and aren't a struggle to drink down.
Seriously though, take it from a drunk and a pothead, try those 2 flavors out.
oh i'm a beer drinker dude...beers aren't a struggle to get down...i just don't personally enjoy magic hat overall...very light on flavor......i've recently stopped drinking during the week temporarily in order to get in sorta better shape, which is the main reason i don't really play tf2 much anymore....back in my normal tf2 playing days it was a 12 pack a night while playing

Also, as a substitute for Strongbow, Woodchuck has a dark cider, with an orange label. The name is escaping me, but it is a very good substitute.
And with Whiskey, you can't ever go wrong with Bushmills. I need to find me some of that 1608, I think there is one store in the metro area that would carry it, but it's about a 45 minute drive for me, ugh. I need to pick up a new bottle of 16 yr old as well, hmm...
I've never liked the taste of alcohol in general and have never been a real big drinker, but back when I used to drink it was usually Jim Beam in the Black label, and Crown Royal when I got a bit more sophisticated. Not mixed, and usually from the bottle, without a chaser.
I drank specifically to get drunk and this will do the trick.
