Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood
For a while now I've been pondering a let's play, but was at a loss at what to play. Earlier this month though Brothers In Arms: Earned in Blood and Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway came out on Steam, and since I loved the series I bought both of them. I hatched up the idea of doing a Brothers In Arms Let's Play and since it's still too close to Hell's Highway's release and I never did finish Earned in Blood way back when it came out, I figured hey! Let's do that!

Earned in Blood was the sequel to Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, with both games sharing the same setting: A paratrooper's perspective of the invasion of Normandy. In the sequel you play as Joe "Red" Hartsock, who unlike Matt Baker from the previous game is a pretty cool guy that doesn't have weird psychological issues. I'll let wikipedia take over from here

The story is essentially told as a "reflection" on the events that took place earlier, as Army historian Colonel S. L. A. Marshall is interviewing paratroopers 15+ days after D-Day. The story is divided into three parts. The first part of the game is recollection of Hartsock's time in Sergeant Matt Baker's squad during the initial D-Day invasion. The second part picks up when he takes command of 2nd Squad, 3rd Platoon during the liberation and defense of Carentan, and the eventual link up between 82nd and 101st Airborne Division at the town of Baupte. The final part will take place in and around Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte.

To those new to the series, Brothers in arms strongly encourages use of strategy and tactics and strongly deters run n' gun mentality with low weapon accuracy, little health and no way to heal yourself or your team. Earned in Blood also has a neat cooperative skirmish mode, where you and another person can team up to play several small scenarios as either the germans or the americans, and it's pretty fun.

So please stay and take pleasure in my dull voice and little material as I go through the start. I can only hope I get better as I go along, both as a commentator and at playing the game. I'll try to be frequent with my updates, but most of them will be put up either on the weekends or whenever I have enough time on weekdays.

I really think McCain looks shockingly OLD, and Obanana is just another ineffectual member of the 'elite'.

You might wanna turn up the volume a bit. That and turn off the mike whenever a cutscene's going on so it can be heard.
