Anyone notice how some things (mattresses and the copy machines in Highrise) are totally impenetrable? A steel wall, yeah that makes sense, but bullets should obliterate copy machines.
I don't know about you, but I always buy a bullet proof printer. Its a lot more expensive, but I think the advantages are apparent.
was a stupid idea to keep this exclusive. this game cost konami way to much money to make.
Agreed.
I think exclusivity as we know it will start falling aside. For cheap games, they can afford it, but the expensive ones will work similarly to this: the "home" console will get it first, and after 6 months, if the game sold well, a port will be introduced.

Ugh, yet another topic made on this issue. If you want to play the game buy a fucking PS3. I don't see anyone harping on at them making Fable 2 or Gears of War only for the 360 and not the Wii and PS3 to make up all those missing imaginary dollars.

this isn't even a "hurrrr let's assume shit from nothing because lol system wars" kind of thread, it's konami straight up saying they are looking into a 360 port

No, I'll wait for the 360 port, because I'm not paying 400$ to play one game on a failed console.

Yet this isn't the first thread about it before this. From a PR person. Who isn't Hideo Kojima. It could just mean they're looking into an MGS spin-off or a Kojima game which Kojima has already said he will do because he doesn't do multi-platform. It's the incessant clawing at exclusives for one console that gets very tiresome.

Is anyone going to care by the time they get a port out?
This made me giggle. If it comes to the 360 I will commence the mocking. I'm sorry... I won't even buy it. Well.. Maybe I will, out of principle. I bought DMC4 for the 360 on principle. And I hate the DMC games.
Okay mocking is too strong of a word. I will poke fun. Because I know every one of my friends who owns a PS3 (two of them) they bought it for MGS4. I just want to see their faces when it comes to the 360.
I felt a great disturbance in the Sony Defense Force...as if millions of fanboys suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something awesome has happened.

I'd report this as awesome, but I will get boo'ed. So just know that this post has my approval. :^:

I don't think that should matter much, I mean, at least they got to play it on a single disc!

Heaven forbid they lose a few calories getting out of bed. :P

How about no?!
I love having an Xbox 360 with a wide selection of games I want to play. PS3 does not have that.
MGS4 on 360 is excellent news. I wanted to play it. I'm not going to buy a console to do so. Now I might not have to.
As a proud launch-day buyer of RE4 for the GC, let me assuage and lend comfort to the tattered souls who own a PS3 by saying that you can always be happy in the knowledge that you will always own the technically-superior-but-with-less-content version, and no one may take that from you.
That said, I'll be happy to play MGS4 on my own terms - in which a PS3 does not figure.
I think the PS3's initial failures made a ton of MGS fans 360-instead-of-PS3 owners, like myself. I can't wait to finally play this; I've even actually managed to avoid spoilers so far.

Hmm. I may have to try MGS3 if it has anything to do with MGS4. I just played a few minutes of it and didn't get very far. It felt so different from MGS1/2.

Honestly? I don't entirely blame you. There is a TON of really, really stupid shit in that game, but the good stuff is totally worth it. One of the best videogame endings, bar none.
According to a Tokyo Game Show report from Japanese investment research firm Morningstar, Metal Gear Solid 4 may find its way to the Xbox 360 after all. Morningstar published a general article covering multiplatform trends that features a quote from a Konami public relations representative that should fuel rumors for months to come. The rep is quoted as saying, regarding MGS4, "We're actively looking into a release for the Xbox 360."
Obviously not a confirmation since nothing is in development yet, but you'd have to be pretty narrow minded to think Konami isn't going to follow through with this.

You just can't deny the kinda cash you'd see.
I don't think the game's sales matter. If it sells well, they'll port to make more money. If it doesn't sell well, they'll port to attempt to find a new/different audience, and recoup costs/turn a profit.

I know... I'll have to muscle through it. I'm sure I will eventually.

It's definitely worth it. By far the most... coherent story in the series. It's also perfectly self-contained, with definite nods to the rest of the series. The gameplay is a little clunky (I hope you like menus!), but you'll still have fun with it. And yes, the ending was fucking fantastic. Beats the everliving piss out of the rest of the endings in the series, MGS4's in particular.
when i look at the big picture it's my lcd screen playing heaps of good games
It's cool that you're having fun with your PS3, but let's be perfectly honest here, I'm not sure how anyone can consider going from 73% global market share to 22% global market share in one generation to be a success.

Be even funnier if they left all the Sony product placement in the game.

Yeah. I enjoyed MGS series immensely but I am not willing to buy a console simply to play a single game
(except Smash Brothers)
realistically, even if they start porting it now, i don't think they'll have it out before 2010
so, uh, more or less if they add some stuff on the su__ance version
