    Has anyone got the PC version of the game? I want to pick it up, but I want to know if the PC port is gimped ala Mercenaries 2.

    This game amazes me for a lot of reasons, but I'd have to say that these two are my favorite:

    1) Shooting the limbs off of horrifying space monsters never gets old.

    2) They assigned a name to this practice: Tactical Dismemberment. That is incredible.

    "strategic" is a bit of a misnomer in that situation since "strategy" is refers to one's overall goals and actions.

    Let me put it this way. "Strategy" refers to the sort of decisions a General might make. "Tactics" refers to the sort of decisions a squad leader would make.

    It's pretty scary. But when you get used to it it's pretty much all action.

    Still fucking awesome action, though.

    Also the PC version is coming the 20th

    What if a general deems it best to shoot all arms off his enemies so they can't shoot a weapon?
    Then it would be strategic dismemberment

    Can you dismember the bats? I've tried using the Plasma Cutter vertically but it doesn't seem to do much to their arms/flaps.

    Maybe you can shoot off their...uhh...proboscis? Has anybody else seen the QTE-ish animation when you pull one of them off and rip off the proboscis? It rules.

    Oh and the QTEs in this game are just rare enough to not be horrible, they pop up at what seems like the "right" moments, I guess.

    EDIT: I bought my copy at a Blockbuster on Friday night. Although I they were out of rentals. They probably should have it soon, I guess?

    just finished chapter one

    yeah this game is pretty great guys. though I loaded up the Elite Suit and now I have every inventory slot open

    I feel like I'm cheating. And yet I can't find a way to go back to the regular suit.

    I can not wait to play this game. I am stuck living in a tent until the 3rd when we finally come home. It is a good thing my significant other is going to be in England until the 19th because I think she might have been a little unhappy with the fact that I plan on spending allot time pla.ying all these new games

    THIS GAME IS FUCKING FANTASTIC.

    I had no internet all weekend, and I promised that I wouldn't play Dead Space while my gf wasn't here.
    But I did it anyway.

    I'm up to chapter 8 or 9.

    Oh and my favorite death sequence is definitely
    The fucking head with tentacles that just inserts itself into Isaac's neck and walks off.
