The Fourth Debate: Third Parties Debate, Nader Vs. Baldwin; FIGHT!
The body of the third presidential debate is still warm, but earlier today the NY Times reported that the debate for the third party candidates has been set. It will be broadcast live on Sunday, October 19th at 7 PM Eastern from Breakthematrix.com. You can submit your questions for the debate and vote on others' questions as well.
Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, and Chuck Baldwin are schedule to appear. Bob Barr has stated previously that he would only debate Ralph Nader. Not sure what that's about. Possibly wanting to only contrast ultra-conservative with ultra-liberal viewpoints. Last I've heard, he hasn't actually responded to the invitation to the debate. Barack Obama and John McCain have also been invited, but they are not expected to appear.
If it was in a battleground state, maybe he'd stop by after a rally or two, but since it's in safe New York, he's not going to show.
Haha, that's funny. No way a democrat or republican would show up to a debate with third parties, regardless of how much support he has in the state.
The Dems and Pubs pretty much don't even recognize the third parties as valid, so they don't give a shit, and showing up would actually validate the third parties existence, not mention give them air time as the news would be all over one of the two major parties being at the debate.
He wasn't mentioned in the NY Times article, nor is he mentioned on the Third Party Ticket website. Ralph Nader is going to be there as an independent, even though he on the Peace and Freedom ticket in two states.

I don't understand this post. The democrats and the republicans have a stranglehold on American politics, one of the reasons is because they refuse to debate with third party candidates. This will not change in the foreseeable future.
THis is gonna be pretty lame if Barr doesn't show.
Barr was supposed to be doing his own "counter-debate" on his website tonight where he was going answer the questions posed to the major party candidates live. I didn't watch it, but I had visions of seeing the main debate with Barr's silhouette in the lower right corner and making snarky comments.
Actually, one could argue that his presence solidifies that the major parties won't acknowledge them - it's inevitably to the disadvantage of the incumbent to have two people attacking them from either side, because both will be unified on what the incumbent is doing wrong.

He should be. He's the candidate for America's Independent Party.
Well, for those who tried to check on the third party debate know that it was canceled, and basically turned into an interview with Cynthia McKinney, since she was the only one to commit.
There was a debate held on 10/23 between Ralph Nader and Chuck Baldwin on CSPAN-2.
It looks like FreeAndEqual.org is supposed to host third party vice presidential debate this Sunday, 11/2 (a little late the game), between Darrell Castle (Constitution), Matt Gonzalez (Independent, Nader's running mate), and Wayne Allyn Root (Libertarian).

Old people are not a renewable source of energy.
No seriously though Ross Perot? People remember him for his ears not his politics.
Can I finish? Can I finish?
