Alright, I admit I'm new here. Although I've been to PAX two years running, I've never signed up for the forums. If anyone here saw a girl dressed up as PaRappa the Rapper the first day, that's me.
I read through the forum rules and I'm pretty sure what I'm doing is allowed, though I may get some grief for it.
I wanted to post about the Extra Life Charity event that his happening right now. Jim Sterling of Destructoid.com is playing SingStar for charity for 24 hours--if he manages to raise $5,000. All of this of course is
being live streamed for your viewing pleasure.
It would be awesome if people could
donate money to this great cause (if you haven't already of course). We have currently raised almost $2,000, with Codemasters generously donating another $1,000 to the cause.
Again, sorry if this might be considered spam. I just wanted to get there word out there about this event. Even if you don't want to donate, feel free to watch the live stream. I think there are around 130 people in there now. You've already missed Jim "singing" Tutti Fruitti in the Liquid Snake voice; don't miss anymore of this priceless entertainment
Posts
I'd donate for that.
I never asked for this!
That probably would have been a good idea ;_; Sorry. If they feel like it's a problem, of course they're at liberty to take down or lock the thread.

Good luck with this, hope you manage to raise the money. As others have said, it's best to ask one of the mods if this kind of thing is okay before doing it, though.
Nobody wants to see that at all.
Edit: Spitfire, nice!
Charity failure? But...but...they raised almost $3200 so far to help kids with cancer 8-)
