Otherwise I'm punching Reed right in the fucking face.
But, seriously, he can talk about that but gets all vague about stuff that's been revealed in solicits? Here's the secret. Osborne gives Rashid Ascension (which is a super-weapon) to cause some shit and justify his reign of power. There. Big secret out.
Cool, I guess. The bitch of it is that I've just finally starting putting together ideas for Ms. Marvel that aren't based around my obsessive compulsion to write about all of the espionage shit Claremont had her do on-page and off in Uncanny and other books.
Re: Romulus - That's why Wolverine Origins is part of Dark Reign.
As for Noh-Varr, did you guys fucking read Secret Invasion? It's pretty clear that his perspective on Earth has done a 180. He declared himself the protector of the stupid planet for Christ's sake.

Yeah, they just did a whole long thing of how she was a badass before she was a superhero and how cool she is, they aren't gonna toss her to the wood-chipper immediately after.
Yeah, Carol Danvers has died a bunch of times. We're talking about a character who was raped by a time-traveler that was also her kid. Fucked up stuff happens to Carol Danvers.

RE: Ms Marvel
Carol has become one of my favorite characters in the MU since House of M. Aside, I've really been digging the Thunderbolts lately. Moonstone taking over is going to be interesting, but I don't see it as a permanent thing, and I really see this as a way to get Carol out of the spotlight so she can devise a plan to kill Norman.

Whatever the case may be, I've liked this run of Ms. Marvel up until this point, but I liked it for Carol, and I'm not sticking around to see her replaced by someone I'd loath to see as the lead of a solo book. It'd be grand if Carol just resumed her Binary identity and did some cosmic shit for a while.
Fuck that. I want her on Earth and Sentry in space. Maybe she'll become part of the Secret Warriors cast or something.
Anyway, I just came to the conclusion that the Grand Director--who is still walking the Earth trying to come to terms with whatever--would have been awesome in MA. That way you actually dohave a real Cap and not US-fucking-Agent.
Also, just to reinforce my incredulity at this piece of Carol Danvers news, they just "killed" Marc Spector in Moon Knight last month. Hm. I'm noticing a pattern involving ex-spooks.

What if this is just a setup to give all the former espionage characters to Brubaker to play with?

What do people think of Mighty Avengers? I like the newer slant on Pym's powers (he's basically MacGuyver now) but I HATED the fucking pep talk they gave him that basically amounted to showing him that he doesn't suck quite as much as some other people.
Also, how the hell is the Hulk going to stay on a team?

Well when all anyone ever associates with Hank Pym anymore is the black eye he gave Janet, it was probably a good idea to remind people that he's not a total douche.
Yeah, the only way Pym can remain a hero anymore is for a complete overhaul of his character. The guy, just from the last 1-2 weeks worth of stuff I've read about him on these forums is worse than most villains and the biggest asshole in comic books.
And hes a whiny bastard. Oh no, Start was on the team to. Isn't Stark like a genius but in the areas of machinery/electronics/computers where as Pym is a specialist in spacial science and chemistry and all that jazz? But no, hes just smarter than me, I felt so inadequate, whaaaaaaaa.

And why is the Hulk a problem?
He's not exactly a team player.
The team we see for the first story aren't going to stick together.
They're just there because the crapstorm happening around the world is killing everyone else.

It depends on if this Hulk is back to big and stupid Hulk, or still War Hulk. Because War Hulk has no problem working with teams that don't try and backstab the shit out of him. He just dosen't LIKE anyone anymore.
But I can see him(War Hulk at least) coming to a freindly relationship with Pym and Wanda(Since he dosen't remember House of M/Wasn't fucked with), and withstanding Ironman's presence because he's basically in the same situation that the Hulk has been for god knows how long, and he finds it hilarious.
And of course the rest of the team won't have a problem because HE'S THE FUCKING HULK HE FOUGHT SENTRY TO A STANDSTILL YOU DO NOT EVEN LOOK IN HIS GENERAL DIRECTION PUNY HUMAN.
My understanding of why The Sentry is working with Osbourne is simply because he's wracked with social anxiety. As such moving would be essentially impossible. Osbourne = no change and to a crazy person that = safe.
That Reynolds is actually the Void and making him whole and sane just means he's excepted his dichotomy and does good things as the Sentry and then FUCKED UP things as the Void and he is finally at peace
I know that's probably been retconned into somthing retarded but goddammit I want this.
My understanding of why The Sentry is working with Osbourne is simply because he's wracked with social anxiety. As such moving would be essentially impossible. Osbourne = no change and to a crazy person that = safe.
I think we won't get a true understanding of the Sentry's decision until we find out what happened to him after he flew in and saved his wife during Secret Invasion.

First villian the Mighty Avengers will face is the restless spirit of Janet Pym, only one man will be qualified to slap it down..... i'm sory i'll stop now.
Also, what the hell is going on with Ghost? Why does he look like an severely anorectic freak now?
Yeah i was quite disappointed by that, i loved the way they drew him in The Initiative, that looked like a genuinely cool teched out stealth suit, as opposed to Casper the Industrial-Goth.

The Newsarama interview with Bendis about DA suggested or said outright (I'm not going back to look) that Osborne was medicating Bob to keep him level.
The team we see for the first story aren't going to stick together.
Indeed. But I'm putting it out there now that the core team at least through the next arc includes Wanda, Hank, Jarvis and Jocasta.
I am dead serious about Grand Director coming onboard to fill the Cap role, and even spent about an hour last night writing out the pros and cons and other ideas based on what I know of him about how well he might fit on the Mighty or Dark Avengers, and how it might come to pass. While he's not the greatest fit, he's still better than USAgent. Although Jack Flagg would be awesome if for no other reason than how he led the prisoners in the defense of 42 against Blastaar's forces. Give the man a wheelchair or some other replacement for his gouged-out spine and he could kick some ass.

More likely Hickman, though I like your ideas and wish to subscribe to your newsletter. Frankly, I am all in favor of someone (preferably Brubaker) writing a book featuring Marvel's espionage heroines simply because there are so many of them (I think I counted twelve plus Carol, but I don't have the file I made with me to check).

Also, I updated the OP.
I actually like Daken in the new book, it's not like he's the center of the fucking story. Jesus Christ.
Now the Mighty Avengers issue was really stupid this week. :P
I'm a member of Roleplay Adventures.
Wonder why Sentry is orking with Osborne though.

And Sentry does need to become a more god like figure, exiling himself into the sun for the next 1000 years.

IGN has an article about the DR: Hawkeye mini. This is my favorite penciled draft because exploding arrows are cool.
oh god that would be hilarious
