I completed a long and somewhat boring sidequest in XD and got a Lucky Egg and traded it over to Emerald. I haven't used it yet. I'm thinking it will make leveling up to 100 a lot faster in Diamond/Pearl.

I lucked out with Chansey. Hey look a Chansey, might as well throw a ball at it, hey look, it made it to two shakes, 3 shakes, I think I'm going to catch, cool, now back to looking for Kangaskhan (I never caught Kangaskhan).

Are the really rare pokes in the Safari Zone easier to find/catch in FR/LG than they were in R/B? I spent ages trying to find Tauros and Scyther in R/B. Really, R/B made getting some of the unevolvable pokes a complete bitch, also considering plenty of stuff like Lickitung, Mr.Mime, and Farfetch'd were only obtainable once in the game via trading.

Don't think they're easier to find. The internet says 4% to get them at best. So no, I wouldn't say they're easy to find ;)

That being said, I got a Tauros, Chansey and a Kangaskhan today. Woop woop.

Actually, I've made it a point to catch a Chansey each game. So far it's only one file of FR/LG that hasn't netted me one.

I even used a Chansey/Blissey once. Fucking beast of a Pokemon, even WITH it's low-ass HP.
only 6? That's much smaller than I envisioned
Keep in mind it's probably per gender, and even then that's a lot of different models considering how few there are for actual trainers.

Kid, Teenager(tall, medium, short), Bodybuilder, Adult/old person.

    There. 6.

    Yeah still...

    the question remains...

How many real-life bodybuilders are hefting up 200lb weights while playing FR/LG saying:

    IM IN UR GYMZ
    GETTIN UR BADGEZ

...and are thrilled that, finally, their garish physical form will finally manifest itself in the pokemon world?

Seriously, do people who devote their life crafting their bodies really make up such a large portion of pokemon fans they decided their body type was applicable?

I'm just going to end up being a teenager/adult. But still. Kinda surprised at the lack of variety.

Hrm, as few? Well, I guess Emerald, FR OR LG, and XD. But that's my opinion of fewest. The items/pokemon/gameplay of those 3 games really embodies the Advanced Gen IMHO. If I had to pick one, and knowing you're already getting D/P? Go with Emerald.

sorry for the noob question but to trade from GBA to DS will I need a GBA or will the DS somehow accomidate the trades on its own?

Also I seem to have lost both my Pokemon Crystal and Red. If I were to pick up a new Pokemon in hopes of making the DS experience more awesome-o, what should I pick up? (including GC titles).

Pokemon has taken over my school recently. The count is 1 emerald, 3 fire reds, 2 leaf greens, 1 silver, 2 golds, 2 yellows, and 1 each of red and blue. So any given day you can walk into a room and expect at least 2 or 3 people in there playing Pokemon. At times we've had 6+ people in a room, all playing Pokemon. Someone would walk in and the conversation usually goes a bit like this:

    "Are you ALL playing Pokemon?"

    "Yeah"

"You realize all of you are like 20 years old, right?"

    "Yeah"

    "Well okay then."

I've never been so proud of my group of friends as I am right now.

I was wondering today if there's any Poke that gets a pre-evo in D/P (Blissey, Mantine etc.) that gets substantially better because of said pre-evo? I mean like Wynaut gave Wobbuffet a significant boost because of Encore, are there any cases like that in D/P? I think most notably Mr. Mime, right? How about the others?
