Is kali.net software any good?

That software will be the only way to play Star Trek Armada online after Nov. 1st since sierra.com is taking it and 20 other games offline at that time.

Anyone know if that software is ok to use?

kali has been around since the mechwarrior 2 days, and was the main way people played Warcraft 2 before battle.net addition came out.

Great software, just kind of obsolete now.

They still charge for Kali, correct? From what I can gather you would be better off using Hamachi. Not only is it free but it looks like plenty of people have played games of Star Trek Armada through it. I don't own the game so I can't help test that, but it's worth a look.
