Transformers thread: the 25th Anniversary is upon us!

Can we please have a new Transformers thread? The last one hit 100 pages and was retired 3 days ago.

Lots of new stuff to discuss. It is the 25th Anniversary of Transformers! As wikipedia reminds us:
The Transformers toyline was developed by Hasbro after they met up with Takara representatives at the 1983 Toy Fair trade show in New York and proposed to combine and re-brand Takara's Diaclone and Micro Change toylines into the Transformers for release in the United States. Thus began a long and successful collaboration between Takara and Hasbro

And so Hasbro is giving us the 25th Anniversary edition of the main man, the one, the only, the robot who started it all, Optimus Prime! This is the #1 thing on my Christmas list

    Clearly G1 is superior. Just look at that squarish Optimus Prime trailer! Overpriced G1 re-issues are all the rage!

    Yeah, I myself try not to order too much from online/Japan, otherwise I would max my credit cards out on all the good stuff. The hunt is half the fun for me. I finally found animated Ultra Magnus at target over the weekend. I been looking for him for a long time, and like a kid and his weenie, i can't stop playing with him! Easily the best animated figure yet.

    last thing I ordered online was SE-04 Overkill from the hasbro website, since they won't be in stores. Wish he would hurry up and get here. A bargain at 16$.

    The blue on the actual figure is darker than in that promo pic... pretty much the same tone as the original G1 figure.

    I actually prefer the teal color more...

    I am a collector of sorts. I have dozens of souls in my collection so far. Having another wouldn't hurt.
