I wonder if this thing will spread to the Outland cities outside of Shattrath? I've been catching up on my 70 priest in Shadowmoon Valley and Netherstorm to try and get money for my epic flying mount and it's been nice not to have to deal with zombies.

And I checked on my 70 too, there wasn't any letters, I'll check again.
Necropoli just appeared over a bunch of 40-60 zones, apparently killing enough scourge on the ground forces the Necropoli to retreat(I think they had the same thing last time? I was too underlevelled at the time to see it). It appears that ALL the Argent Healers are gone now, too. There's a few AD members standing in capitol cities handing out a quest to report in at Light's Hope Chapel, but I haven't been yet, so I don't know what the questline is.
And before I logged off, I noted that at least half of Orgrimmar was infected, and with the 2 minute plague, that meant almost constantly being in combat. I feel sorry for anyone who just started their first character and entered their capitol city, only to be mobbed by ?? level zombies.
So, I just got done killing Tendris Mirkblood. The rest is spoilered for people who don't want to know this kind of stuff.
You go through Attumen and up the stairs near the repairman. Then there's the blood stained door to the right. Don't open it until you're all ready, he'll charge your ass.
Here's what I gathered:
- He channels a raid member, any damage you do to him you do to the channeled raid member. So heavy heals on him
- He summons spirits that are immune to all attacks (from what I found) so just sorta kite him down the hall you can from.
He does drop a kickass 2h axe. It's an updated Arcanite Reaper essentially. To give you a better example.
He also drops a pet, which everyone gets, as well as 2 badges. To complete the quest, run inside his chambers and read the Lich King Objective.
Good god the invasion points are fucking swamped. Hard to tag a single mob and then you have to be careful not to grab a horde by tabbing through everything.
Run off to fight the invasion in Winterspring, running around looking for scourge and get a critical error. Try to log in with the same char it happens over and over. The repair tool takes ages. Damn you! I want to kill scourge.

Another thing, I've seen ghosts around some towns and cities that look like Eyes of Naxxramas can't target them and they fade after awhile. Still, something to look out for.
Does anyone have locations of the scourge necropoli for each of the zones? I don't remember where they all are from last time.
Edit: This event seems to have brought out the worst in people....never seen so much rampant asshattery in my life. and of course people being the greedy bastiches that they are, they won't tell you where in the zone they're fighting.
Edit2: Finally found a necropolis only to find it overrun with an alliance raid who were aoe'ing down everything. So nice that I can participate in this fucking event.
the elite shadow guys drop 30 necrotic shards. course all my dead party members who only hit it when the thing was grey, rolled need on it and someone else won. psssh.

Don't think this is the end tho. Those heralds promised to come back with a bigger force when they were defeated. Hopefully we'll see more invasions like this in the next week. So where were those necropoli for next time (assuming they hit the same zones again)?
Got tired of the competition for any mobs at all on the Necrotic Stones, so I grabbed a few friends and got zombified. 4 Zombies running in out of nowhere made the chaos disolve into full out factional warfare.
Azshara: Out on the beach basically in the middle of the zone.
Tanaris: SW corner, by the pass into Un'Goro.
Winterspring (vaguely remembered from the Naxx opening) On a ridge by the road..somewhere.
Blasted Lands: Serpent's Coil, right to the south of Nethergarde.
Does anyone know if you can quest or gain XP through killing mobs while undead? I think it'd be hilarious for a new lvl1 or lvl2 player to beckon four level-40 NPC zombies to help him slaughter kobolds.
I mean of course you can't turn them in while undead, but...
