So, anyone else here seen the trailer for "300"? It's a movie about the battle of Thermopylae, where 300 Spartans (hence the title) and 700 Thespians stood against a few hundred thousand Persians around 480 B.C. Depending on who you ask, the Spartans killed between 10,000 and 50,000 Persians. Anyway, seems to me like the trailer has a lot of fodder for fanart -- here's my pic, and I'm hoping other people will post as well.
Oh, and, yes, I've lurked, but on other accounts, and yes, I've read the rules page, and yes, I know some people here will act like douchebags because my art isn't perfect -- shocker, I already know that! Wow! Who would've guessed? Anyway, just (futiley) asking that you leave the insults out of the constructive criticism. God -- that will probably just provoke more flames. Ugh.
Anyway, the mouth has problems, I know, the helmet could fit a little better, the texture on the helmet isn't complete (I completed it later but forgot to scan the later version), the cape is pretty rough, the angle of the eyes could be better, and the shape of the top of the helmet could use work. So, yes, I know it's not perfect (very, very obviously), and no, I don't expect empty praise, like you'd find on Mom's fridge. So, uh, flame away, and hopefully, contribute some 300 fanart -- that movie looks really fantastic.

The guy probably needs more in the way of a neck/shoulders. Even if you wanted to keep this just as a bust.
Well, honestly, I don't really know what to do. I know what's wrong, but the only problem is that I don't know how to fix it. Any recomendations on how exactly I fix those problems would be really helpful. Thanks a lot! Oh, and, by the way, you can find the trailer for 300 here.
The movie needs more penis. Not that the comic was really all that amazing (and certainly not worth the $30 I would've paid had I not ordered it for a discount on Amazon), but it was entertaining. The movie looks like it's going to take all of the boring Frank Miller and make it pretty. The scenes that follow the comic too closely look really, really awkward, though. Especially the wolf. Terrible. I'm also not a fan of how Xerxes is portrayed.
Ink-only doodle of Leonidas. No penciling beforehand.
PS: I'm really only participating because of recent art history lectures.
