So, over the time of owning my 360, I've gotten a bit annoyed with having to constantly unhook my small CRT monitor back up to the 360's cable to play, along with the fact that it's a very small screen, this is looking like a nice opportunity:
However, I know little about televisions other than I guess they go up to 1080p but 720p is more normal for high definition. So, could any of you gents give some advice such as "good deal man" or what I should look for/avoid? Does this TV seem like it would be a nice choice? (Of course, I would go to check it out for a while before sealing the deal.)
if all they're looking for is essentialy $250, that's not a bad deal.
they don't look bad at 720 p / 1080i , but an LCD will look a lot better, but if you're lookin for a fricken huge tv, that wouldn't be terrible.
However, just as a consideration, Target sometimes clearances out TVs, and I'm not sure if they still have them at your store, but I just snagged a 42" 1080P Olevia LCD Tv for $450 as well. I personally never minded projection tvs, but some people can't stand them.

If I were to look for a new TV then, what would be the sort of things I want to look for to make sure I don't end up buying one that's not very good?
Hm, that's a Mitsubishi tube... it's not HD and it's honestly pretty ancient. Maybe mid 90s if I had to guess, but I'm talking out of my arse. My parents have a set almost identical to that. Still works great, but the quality is awful. If it's the one I'm thinking of it has a textured screen.
Anyway there's a stickied thread in Moe's Technology Tavern about buying TVs that is rather good.
