I am pretty not excited about this game. I loved the hell out of CoD4 but apparently they moved it back to the company that made CoD3, which apparently nobody really liked.
Yeah I wasn't really excited either, but all they really did was take the COD4 engine, skin it for WW2 and added vehicles, but the added left 4 dead inspired co-op feature sounds kinda awesome. Plus COD4 engine is pretty solid, so multiplayer should be the same, unless they really fucked up.
'look guys, i know you hate how cod5 is made by a bunch of dicks, who swapped out cod4's story for one from the last 8 ww2 CoD games.
so, instead of delivering a powerful story with groundbreaking gameplay and great online play, we'll give you cod4 dressed up like 50's milkman. also there are dogs which ruin the game. also tanks.'
They were talking about CoD5 this week on 1UP Yours. Shane was saying how he was watching some guy playing and thought the graphics were shit. Then he leaves, comes back a few minutes later and the guy's playing a new level.
"Whoa, these graphics are a lot better!"
"Yeah, I'm playing Call of Duty 4 now."

but i find shooting people from the middle east or russia in a modern time frame and seeing "+10 XP" pop up over their heads less morally repugnant than shooting japanese at a real WW2 battlefield and seeing 7 KILLS PRESS UP FOR SMITHERS RELEASE THE HOUNDS
Wow. And suddenly the realism and faithfulness to the events of WWII was stripped away in a fleeting moment in a half assed attempt to get extra cash.
man it's a multiplayer mode
who plays FPS multiplayer looking for an immersive cinematic experience
besides, you can only get it after you play through the single player campaign so it's not like it'll ruin that experience if you play it beforehand or anything
I dont like singleplayer call of duty because you're playing a game of find the invisible button that stops enemies from respawning infinitely
In 1 and 2, yes. COD4 has an amazing single player however.
no it still had the same thing for almost every part. feeling like the enemies are a nuisance and getting in the way of the kill button. killing them pointless because they always respawn seconds later.

aka wolfenstein, the only ww2 shooter worth a shit.
they actually affect the environment, or so I've heard.
I was sold the instant I heard that
also motherfucking dog attacks and tigers
But I guess we'll have to wait and see.
That is so straight up thuggin'
Nah I'll be too busy playing Left4Dead
I never played Resistance.
Yeah me too (I don't own a 360 or a PS3 and my comp probably can't run it)
I was talking to people who own consoles and don't plan onplaying L4D
But I do plan on playing left 4 dead.

'...why would i want that?'
'because there's a zombie mode, duh.'

Because all First person shooters are is just shooting something over and over again and there is really nothing of value beyond that!
abloo bloo-
oh wait, it's a legitimate complaint about market saturation for ww2 set-games
and a game series taking a step back in quality because of it
basically
shedding a tear
Damn shoe. That is a pretty retarded sentiment.
I actually don't care either way

i'd forgotten about the coverage of the single-player mode that amped me up for it originally because this is a fucking incredible game

Still fun
