Uhh, so taking a nap at 8PM isn't really a good idea when you got up at 12, and went to bed the night before at 4, and you have class the day after tomorrow.

But I did have a weird dream about salvaging golf balls from waterfalls...

    RANDOM POST!!!

I was attacked by an Irish lady the other day. Me and my friend are fans of MST3k and I was singing the song that Crow sings in the movie "It's a long way to Tipperary to the sweetest girl I know!" and a lady was walking by where I was working and did like a 90 degree turn and said "YOUR NOT IRISH! I bet your not even from Ireland. Are you?" I said no its a song from a movie. "My favorite song is Danny Boy!" Then she had an Obama sticker on her vest and said "AND I'M FOR OBAMAAAA!!!!!"

I was like.....wtf? So like at the end of every sentence me and my friend say "AND I'M FOR OBAMAAAAAA!!!!"

Really though, this election to me at least is like Alien vs Predator. Whoever wins, we lose. I would imagine McCain as an alien. I would just like to see one of those mouths pop out of his mouth and he says "I'm not an alien!"...."Then I ram my orivipostiter down your throat and lay my eggs in your chest, but I'm not an alien."

Obama would make a good Predator.

I really don't understand why people always say "I'm voting for the candidate that's not as bad as the other candidate but is still pretty bad." What does a president have to do to make anyone happy about it? It's like the only person fit to be president is Jesus. Because you know anyone that YOU might think would be a good president wouldn't be voted into office...so, for once, I wish everyone would stop being so pessimistic about Obama (I'm normally a total pessimist).

I've got a thrilling anxiety about me today, which the day still has yet to see if it's for the better or the worse. Hard to believe this is only the third election I've voted in.

Who the hell is pessimistic about Obama? Most people think he is the goddamn Messiah.

And anyway, if anyone IS pessimistic about him, it's because he is a politician and by definition all politicians are filled to the brim with horseshit.

Clinton exited at 65% approval- higher than Reagan, Kennedy, and Eisenhower. Whatever you hate about Clinton, he was, much like Lincoln, a political and public speaking genius.

Unlike Kennedy, he was dumb enough to get caught hounddoggin'.

Not everyone has a complete and total boner for Obama. The two party system alienates a humongous group of people, so they are forced to fit their views in to whatever candidate is available. So, people have a tendency to say "I voted for the one that wasn't as bad as the other". Wouldn't you be upset if there wasn't someone accurately representing your beliefs to the political forum, and instead you were essentially forced to vote for someone who wasn't remotely close to representing your ideals, but was the more worthy candidate out of the two?

We are in the hardest economic, and political times right now, and there is a humongous chance of it getting a lot worse before it gets better, so the American people have a god damn right to be pessimistic about whoever the hell they want to, especially when the last 8 years were essentially wasted.

I guess I'm in the "boner for Obama" group. I think he's going to do amazingly well. Will he be perfect? No. But as Tam said, plenty of people hate Clinton to death, and yet he was a great president. I know there could be better people that perhaps should be president, but nothing happens how intelligent, informed people want it to happen. Obama isn't the lesser of two evils (since evil doesn't even exist...), he's just a democratic president, which means he's all for capitalism, and he's a politician and not just a regular person. Oh well. He'll be a good president, the best that we could have in the current circumstances. It's not going to happen any other way, so I don't see any reason to throw a fit like some people do. If you think you could do it better, then you should be a politician, and then see why it's impossible to do it much better.

cakemikz, first I don't even understand your logic there, second: our country is a bunch of fucking retards.
