i like how when Lennon was interviewed once and he was asked "Do you think Ringo is the best drummer in rock and roll" and he kind of laughed it off with "Hes not even the best drummer in the Beatles" referring to how when Ringo got in to a fight with the rest of them and left the studio so Paul took over for some of the recordings

There are just so many tracks that they have to choose from, I'm sure they'll never be able to make everyone happy until they release the full catalog.

    Hear that Harmonix?

Anyone who doesn't think Ringo is at least an above-average drummer should listen to Abbey Road again and, this time, pay attention.

I mean, he's no Neil Peart or anything, but he's surely no Meg White either.

Still find it so weird how out of the blue this came.

I mean, when Guitar Hero got Band on the Run (a McCartney/Wings song) and Beat It (a Michael Jackson song, who owns the rights to most Beatles songs), I figured it was a done deal they would be going to GH.

Agreed. And also - although one year SUCKS, it kinda makes sense. I'm assuming the deal is still semi-fresh, and turnaround on the masters is a very long process, and I'd also guess this release is going to be more than a DLC pack, so extra time would be required.

Although it also says Paul McCartney has seen a demo, so perhaps the GAME will in Christmas 2009, with a couple song packs between now and then...or McCartney just saw a ROCK BAND demo in general...

It'd be nice if they gave us a little taste though, eh? Say....a three-pack with on the their "big ones" to hold us over?

They should have some White Stripes DLC. If you have anyone playing bass, they just have to stand there for 3 or 4 minutes. If they strum at all, automatic failure.

Honestly though, he has relatively perfect timing. His general issue is that he's left handed and structures all his fills in the opposite way someone normally would because of it. His beats are also relatively simple.

One the side of Pink Floyd vs Led Zeppelin: Being someone that listens to and has played songs from both Zep would be WAY more interesting to fiddle with in Rock Band overall. Although there are a few key Floyd songs that would be great.

This is, sadly, pretty much true...but pretty much all of Pink Floyd would be fantastic for vocalists. Plus many of their songs have kick-ass guitar solos...even though the rest of the song might be kinda slow going. But it's floyd and playing their stuff in a full band would be made of 100% awesome.
