As much as you like. You can rent RB1 from a game store or borrow a friend's copy and go crazy. You just have to pay a 5 dollar charge to do it for your specific xbox.
How about exporting from RB1 to RB2, is that one time per disc or as much as you like?
That's as many times as you like, but you have to pay the $5 license fee for each console you export to. The AC/DC Track Pack (and the Track Pack Vol. 2, I would wager), on the other hand, come with a specific code for you to input that lets you download the songs for free, but you can only redeem it once.
I mis-hear the lyrics of Seven constantly. Apparently there's some part when she sings "I'll rough-up your next girl friend" and I hear "I'll fuck your next girlfriend". Which is kinda hot, really.

We've always heard the same thing... I never knew what she actually said until I did the vocal career in RB1.

The GHWT thread is quiet, so I'll ask here: To anyone who's picked up the GHWT drumset, how is it in terms of collapsibility and storing away when you're not using it? My nephew is asking his parents for the GHWT guitar and game set, and being the rhythm-game whore I am (I'm the one who got him into GH in the first place) I was going to lobby his parents into springing for the full bundle as a surprise. But I think space might be an issue, as they have a pretty small living room. I love how the RB drums can be disassembled and put away pretty quickly, but how is the GHWT set in that regard?
Man. Fuck songs beyond your ability being thrown in at the end of a long set you were doing well on. 5 song setlist on hard drums, doing pretty well, then like 4th song in I get Ace of Spades. Trying to sight read that is fucking impossible at standard hard difficulty.
Right, I was mistaken in thinking that an EA account was needed for linking to your game, but it's the Windows ID for Live.
Also, my EA account's user name when I made one was just set to my e-mail address itself.
All I'm really getting at here is that you've tried one avenue and have written off the songs and the company. Yeah it sounds like a shitty deal but the rockband.com support forums could maybe be of some assistance, and you haven't even mentioned trying that.
I did, actually. But the support forums are barren, I haven't gotten a response yet and I don't really expect to.
I suppose I shouldn't be too bummed, the only song I really cared about was Sons and Daughters...by the way, how is that one?
Have you tried, y'know, calling them?
When my microphone croaked I gave them a ring and the problem got addressed within five minutes.
Midgetspy, I was so sad to see you online yesterday and NOT be drum dueling you. Oh well, maybe next time. It gave me a chance to finally start unlocking songs. Went through most of the drum marathon challenges. Got 5G* on spoonman . Got 5* on Everlong. Is it not as fast as RttH was in RB1? Because for some reason I don't have the stamina problem in the 2nd half of the song, nor do I have trouble hitting the triple bass or off beat bass hits that I couldn't hit in RttH without breaking combo.
Is there an easy way to see what songs you've gold starred? I really miss the simple single player from RB1.

Yeah usually Thursday is The Office/30 Rock party at my place so if I'm playing RB it's usually with people who came over early.
Everlong is definitely slower than RttH... not by too much but it's enough to really help for me. Also the tempo is constant instead of varying wildly like in RttH which makes it much easier to keep a combo.
Once you leave the song stats screen there's no way to ever find out your star rating on it again (unless you did it in World Tour). Unfortunately your only option is to manually enter all your scores into scorehero (which is a real pain for me now that my computer's not in the same room as my RB). I've been writing my scores on a piece of paper and updating them at the end of the night before bed. It's pretty outrageous to have to track my scores with pen and paper in a current-gen video game, lol.
If you really want your scores on ScoreHero, there's a program that grabs all your scores from the web leaderboards and throws up a word file for you to copy-paste into ScoreHero.
I haven't bothered with it or entering scores on ScoreHero in quite sometime, though.
Alright, incidentally the Mirror's Edge time trial code I got today basically created a new EA Account from my PS3, so I shot them an e-mail about the 20 free DLC code error, asking for a simple exchange since the 360 code I received has not been used, hopefully they will be able to do that.
Sorry if I came off as pissy last night, I just got done working a 14-hour shift to come home and find DLC codes for the wrong system.

There's actually a program that will upload to scorehero from csv also, so you can do it all automatically. I did that for all my sightread scores, but it doesn't track 5*/GS or streak so I ended up doing all my new scores manually anyway so I could keep track of gold stars :-(
EDIT: The reason I did my sightread scores is because the leaderboards are all bugged anyway so I have no idea how I'm actually doing with my careers.

Can I get a link to said programs? Thanks in advance.

So why are people actually playing the infinite challenges? Completion's sake?
I like the idea of the infinite challenges. I plan on going through them slowly because it will force me to play alot of songs that I may have either forgotten about or havent played in a long while.
I wish HMX would just release what the cutoffs for each star would be for each song. Then the people at scorehero could add that whenever they add songs to the database and people could just input their score and have their stars automatically calculated.
It's a function of the base score I believe (so I guess it's a function of note count too)... they have pretty much figured it out on the scorehero forums but I think they won't implement it into the website unless they know it's 100% correct.
I don't see why they care, i thought sh folks were more about the actual score than the star count (seeing as how it was impossible to get anything less than 3 stars in GH2)

The AC/DC track pack, is this a one time use thing?
My 360 is somewhere on a boat in the middle of the pacific, and while I wait for it to get back, I am going to be playing on a friends 360.
If I buy the track pack and use it on the other 360, will I be screwed out of installing it on my 360 when I get it back?
Thanks guys.
Yes, it's one-time only, so don't do it! You can play the game itself all you want, but as far as exporting the songs, it's a one-time use code.
I think that's as much as you like because you pay for that license that remains on your HD.
Edit: B-b-b-beat'd x2.

I already have all my RB1 songs inported into RB2 on my machine.
I want to buy that AC/DC box and play.
Dawg, your question got answered and then someone else asked a question.
In case you missed it.
Dammit doesn't have shit in it. I mean, even in the actual album cut of the song. It has a "fuck", but no shit.
We've always heard the same thing... I never knew what she actually said until I did the vocal career in RB1.
I'm probably forgetting which song it was.
Since we just got our 360 back yesterday, we downloaded the Presidents, damnit, and the 20-pack, so its quite possible I mixed up the songs.
Of course, its just as possible that I misheard the lyric.
Pokemon Safari - Sneasel, Pawniard, ????

Not really. I find mine stores better than my other kit.
