I find myself hoping that when I actually get the full game, it will have tiny, tiny wings available.

For some reason I want to build a giant jet, then a tiny propeller-based plane it can detach from, then use some other kind of removal method to turn it into a tiny car/boat by removing the tiny, tiny wings.

There are collapsable wings, and they are smaller than the the normal wings you use...

So you can build that giant jet, have it break apart for a prop-plane with collapsable wings, then collapse the wings to get a land craft out of it.

    Fuck yes!

How detailed is the physics? If I, say, put a propeller in an enclosed space, would it still work?

It'll work, the physics are pretty forgiving.

Okay, that'll make a tiny, detachable copter kinda tricky. Oh well, prop plane would still be nice.

The collapsable wings also make me want to build a hang-glider. Add some springs, maybe another detachable unit to ditch the excess weight of the wheels and everything but the wings for extra flight time....

God, I love games that make building ridiculous stuff easy. And now I want them to come out with a model kit.

BK aged really well. Some of the fun is sucked out of it since I've practically memorized every level, but I'm still enjoying it.

It's really funny how tiny the levels are, especially in comparison to how gigantic they seemed when I was 9. Now I'm wondering if I'm remembering Tooie's giganticness correctly too.

Thinking back, they tend to seem not really that much larger at first, but then they usually have at least one hugeass section off on the side.

Well, dammit. I saw that the game had to update when I started it, so I figured that was the fix, and when I did a puzzle for a level I already 100%ed, there were still notes in the picture for Banjo to collect, so I assumed that the reverse would also be true.

I think the ones in Banjo-Tooie start getting bigger than the largest worlds in BK about halfway through, but I don't think they ever got to like 3 times bigger than all 4 seasons in Click Clock Wood combined huge...

I think they seem huge because there was a lot of lot of running around to remote areas in a world to get just one jiggie, componded with the fact that almost every world had jiggies you couldn't get your first time though. While in BK, there is only one jiggie you have to backtract too, and other than the jinjos and seasonal tasks in Click Clock, almost everything required to get a jiggie was in one smallish area.

There is a secret puzzle minigame in Banjo's house, activated by standing in front of the fireplace, going into first person, and looking at the picture of Bottles. During this minigame, you are treated to a scene of Banjo running around an area in the game...

The glitch is that if the Banjo you are seeing in the minigame picks up an item you haven't collected yet, that item is gone and you cannot get credit for picking it up. While you can still complete the game without the items, if you are trying to get all 900 notes (and there is an achievment for it) You'll be SoL because the 5 or so notes Banjo picks up during the minigame no longer exist.

The easiest way to avoid this is simply do not start the minigame untill you get all 900 notes.

Maybe... maybe when Banjo collects notes in the picture, it doesn't delete the notes, but rather acts like you actually collected them?

I'm gonna go finish up Mad Monster Mansion and see if I can still hit 100 notes. I was at like 90 something when I quit and I still had the toilet to explore, so maybe!

Is it possible to complete the puzzle before Banjo gets any notes? Legacy might have done that. The whole point of the glitch though is that the notes he collects don't count towards your total so you might be screwed.

P.S., the toilet only has like 4 notes. You better be at 96 notes or so because you're definitely not going to find 7 or 8 down there.

And yeah, BK has aged extremely well. Whatever Rare did to smooth out the graphics is great too. I am getting some slowdown on occasion though. Especially in water.

I'd love if Perfect Dark and Jet Force Gemini got the same treatment.

Perfect Dark with a consistent (and playable) framerate would pretty much outclass any other current split-screen multiplayer games for the 360.

PA confuses me so, sometimes. The demo makes this seem like a mostly unplayable mess - and yet most of you guys love it. I actually put the demo down in frustration, and I don't do that often. I guess it doesn't speak well for the game, which may have been a bonehead move by Rare.

I have wasted many hours making stupid and impossible vehicles that don't do what I want them to.

And I am loving every moment of it. Seriously. This game has charmed the heck out of me. Maybe it's because the last three games I've played before this are Dead Space, Fallout 3, and Gears of War 2, but the graphics are fantastic. It's so refreshing to see more color.

Any tips, though, about vehicle construction in terms of keeping things under control? I've only played through a little bit, but enough to get the high-grip wheels early on. Even with those the vehicles I make seem to spin out and control pretty unpredictably. I wind up taking turns and spinning into 180s frequently. I'm fairly sure I'm just making things wrong, though.

You can hightlight the wheels, and some other parts, then push the right bumper to change their properties. For wheels you can do automatic, driven, steering, steering & driven, freewheeling, or something along those lines. Just think of actual vehicles. You want the front wheels to steer and/or drive but you just want the back wheels to drive or be freewheeling. I'm not sure what automatic does, I think the computer just chooses for you.

Also spacing is important, wheels too close together will give you plenty of spinning out moments.

Oh man, I made the Little Jack more awesome. I put in some of those automatic bird missle whatever parts in some little indentations in the deck to emulate the torpedo launchers and drastically increased the length to space out the various components better. I also finally found some extra guns to give it the three cannons on each side like the real Little Jack has. The thing is surprisingly fast, yet turns horribly. But it is so awesome that I do not care.

Quick, someone make the Delphinus or a Gigas so we can have epic ship battles.

I don't know if this is old news or not, but if you try and use the stop-n-swop codes in BK, Bottles will come up and tell you that if you want to use the cheat, you won't be able to save anymore and your score will be removed from the leaderboards, and asks if you still want to do it.

You need the Spec-o-spy vehicle part. It's very tiny, so you should probably put it on all of your vehicles. It'll make the jinjo challenges appear on the mini-map in each world.

    Stolen from a gamefaqs guide:

Just banked my first 10 jiggies!

Gotta say this initially left a bad taste in my mouth after playing the demo and I wasn't going to buy it. I hated the town cart (not realizing its horrid handling would be taken care of in short order) and the challenges in that demo world were frustrating at best. Of course this was because I had no parts, it was the demo, etc.

I was very happy to see that world from the demo isn't the first one in the real game, though I'm sure it will appear later. Once you have a decent cache of parts this game is incredible amounts of fun. I spent at least 15 minutes building a huge air taxi to complete one challenge. Leaderboard's after every challenge are great and gives you the impetus to come back to a game later and build a better vehicle to get a better time. I also didn't realize how much the game makes fun of itself and keeps the inane dialog at least somewhat funny.

Overall it's a nice change of pace from all the grey/black/brown games I've been playing lately and honestly, who can't resist a good old fashioned collect-a-thon?
