I just moved to the Seattle area a few days ago, and the friend I moved in with is not a gamer, so while I've been enjoying hanging out with her and her friends, I'm looking for a place to make friends of my own. Is there anywhere like a LAN center that's a hangout for gamers? My apartment apparently rides the border between Queen Anne and Belltown, though the place doesn't really have to be close by.
Haven't found a LAN place in the city (couple in the suburbs if you're up to fighting the traffic). There is GameWorks downtown but that's about it.
Other than that I've found most people tend to play at home around here. That tends to apply to tabletop and card games as well. Other than local Games Workshop stores, the only places to play are out in the 'burbs.
Does Gary's let you play tabletop games there or do they just sell them? I can't recall seeing anything set up for playing the last time I was in there.
Fire & Sword (block down the street from north end of the Northgate mall) has a lot of table space and regular gaming nights. Mostly Games Workshop and other miniature games.
Edit: And while they have no table space that I know of every gamer needs to go to American Eagle in Lake City at least once. So damn neato.
Further edit: On the east side in the middle of Redmond (Bella Botega plaza) Games & Gizmos has tons of gaming space.

So does Oroboro Games, just a block north of Redmond Town Center.

Berserk Games
Gary's Games & Hobbies
Otherwise just go to normal social places. With the number of tech companies we have around here, there are lots of game nerds to be found.
