apparently google has released this file sharing program called wuala

it's in beta, surprise surprise

but it's pretty cool and shit

start with a gig and you can buy more storage or swap local storage for online storage and you're good to go

make shit public, private or shared, either friends only or with a password

and it's pretty low key

[strike]invite only at the moment[/strike], but worth checking out and I got a pile of invites to hand out if anyone wants one

so uh yeah how about that local sports team and stuff what is up se++


NOTE: it isn't invite only any more, anyone can join, but add me as a friend and shit if you join.

    I'll wait till it's open beta if it gets that far. As it is, I'm fond of Mediafire, I'm working on uploading rars of most of my music so that I can clear a little space on my hard drive.

    k, you can apparently also set up user groups

    I set up a Social Entropy User Group, set to private, and will send out invites to it once some of the user invites I sent out are activated.

    You can't turn your computer off ever

    that is the bargain you make for extra disk space

    you are only allowed to do it if you have your computer online more than 40% of the time and you have an open connection (the program tests both of those when you go into the options for it) and I'm sure they use redundancy to make it work.
