around level 8 or 9 inside the Brotherhood of Steel Citadel, you have to be on the main story quest to get access to get in. Level 8 or 9 would be RUSHING through and avoiding EVERY side quest of this I can vouch. Remember, power armor is almost end game armor (next to enclave armor, which is better) so just resign yourself to at least half the game without it. Plus Enclave helmets look 100% more sexay.
I really wish I could respec my perks. I don't want to roll a new character, i'm almost level 20 and just about to get the explorer perk so I can just go everywhere, but I want to respec so i'm godly at VATS and won't be a lumbering tank.
do you need training for enclave armor? because if not, I might just have to go postal on some grunts with my hunting rifle.
I'm like level 17 and I haven't done any of the main story beyond the megaton finding out your dad went to GNT or whatever. well I accidentally did vault 112 as well but that was exploring too, honest.
Brotherhood of Steel Citadel. Forever I thought it was GNR, It is not. They got a giant robot! LIBERTY PRIME, READY TO SERVE
Let me say that as far as the main quest is concerned I have a speech of 99, and I have used it maybe 4 times:
to make that kid cry in virtual world, to get extra stimutacs from Dr. Li and to convince Three Dog to let me go to Rivet City and miss out on delicious XP
I can say that speech is no good for the first 10 levels. I would hope it helps with the enclave but I'm sure you don't even meet them en force till 13 or 14 once you have
passed jefferson memorial which i hit around 7 with no probs.
Big Guns/Heavy Weapons are too expensive for ammunition and you don't find a whole lot of copies to repair them from. Gatlings from some brutes. Missile launchers are easy enough to find but to buy the ammo is expensive. I'd say if you are dead set on heavy weapons wait till level 12 or so to start putting points into them. I haven't run into many areas where I've needed to use them (3+ mutants/talon mercs). I would guess there are more opportunities later, but they sure are fun. I mini nuke.
its not like you need a lot of points for fat boy and missile launchers anyways. just point and click
the best non power armor I've found is some recon armor or whatever that looks atrocious. about the same DR as combat armor but it gives a bonus to stealth
You get a gun called the mesmotron. It mezzes them and you can take all their stuff and tell them to go to Paradise Falls after you put a slave collar on them.
how are nuka grenades? I haven't found 30 quantams yet for the schematic. I found a single nuka grenade in a raiders camp but I keep on forgetting to try it out
After some experimentation, I'm pretty sure that it's only the Pipboy light that reduces your stealth. The Pipboy radio does not seem to affect your sneaking ability.

you can kill a room with one. they're like mininukes you toss. but there's so few of them in the game.
i got all three (are there more?) recipes for bottlecap mines, so now i make 3 for every 1 set of ingredients. which is good because cherry bombs and lunchboxes are kind of hard to find.
Deathclaws are pretty much the toughest enemies in the game. If you don't get them before they get to you you're fucked unless you're a beefcake like my character, even then i'll only last for like 10 seconds.

I dont even know

but what if you skipped like, half of the main quest by stumbling upon vault 112?
I like being mobile and stealthy so I don't give a dick really but I'd still like to know
GNR is such a cock tease!
I don't have Fallout 3 yet.
I stupidly spent my money on paying the mortgage and the electric bill.
Now I'm kicking myself.

yeah I shot a talon merc in the chest with a missle launcher from 15 feet away and it scratched him so no
then he burned me to fucking death with a flamer
level 10 and rockin'
rockin' hard
well if you have like, 1 point in it maybe. but my 30 points or whatever through books, stats and luck, blows everything up just fine
shit's bout to go off
Was his name Arkansas? If so I enslaved that bitched after he tried to kill me with a nuclear powered car.
also enslaved what
You can get a quest in Paradise Falls that lets you capture people for slavery. He needs four big ones and Arkansas is one of them.
how do you subdue them?
my character has difficulty doing anything to someone without dismembering them
Landmines all blowing off legs.
And the bottlecap mines are godly.
pretty much just set them then lure people to them or
we ARE talking about mines right? weapons whose sole purpose is to be set and then stepped upon? I mean they aren't food..
yeah seriously. so much for "500 different endings"
I just stood upstairs in the building across the street and shot the Behemoth with missiles to get rid of him. I didn't know about the fatman.
