So, I need a dual purpose computer for College and a bit of gaming
Im going to be getting into a Game Development course and thus need a Developers Computer
But I like to play high end games so I also need it to dual purpose as a Gamers Machine
I need suggestions of the Amount of RAM, A good Vid card for this, Good Motherboard, Amount of HD Space, etc..
I dont want to buy top of the line stuff cause Im a bit short on money so a decent dev/game machine would be good
PS. That means no 16 core, 16 GB RAM, 1 GB vid, 2 TB HD, HD Monitor -.-
Yes, I do know that my Avi says Drizzt,
YES, I Did make the sig.
NO I WONT MAKE ONE FOR YOU!
When I meant short on money I mean like I cant exceed 600.. that is a nice machine, and If I had the money Id go for that, but rent calls, and so does my need for a decent machine

That thread is for helping with this exact kind of question, you should definitely ask there.
Bingo. I could clutter up this thread with suggestions, but posting almost that exact comment in the Computer Build Thread will get you way more advice and points of view.
"I like the look of the Bang-for-Buck build, but unfortunately my budget is a little tighter, at CDN$600. What would be the best way to shave $100 or so off that machine without seriously compromising anything?"
You'll probably get a suggestion to go with an E5200, slightly lower-end motherboard, a different case, and weaker video card. Also bear in mind that an OS is not included with that, and if you need one you might be better off waiting for a Dell deal and adding a video card aftermarket.

Probably in the first post - look at the "Bang for Buck" rig, it's around the $650 mark.
