This game isn't getting here fast enough! WHY ISN'T IT GETTING HERE SOONER?! AAAGGHH!
1994 called, they want their anticipation back.
Tell 1994 to bring all their games here. God I miss the 90s. So many good games. Every single title didn't try to be the epic monster greatest best experience you've ever had.
The 90s are overrated. A lot of excellent, excellent games, but nostalgia paints a better picture than reality. We have just as many awesome games, very likely even more, now-a-days. It's just they are scattered across a ton more systems and are surrounded by a lot more mediocre and crap games.

Not enough lime in the universe.
Nostalgia helps looking back at the SNES era, but there was a period (especially if you liked RPGs, other than Phantasy Star IV the genesis did not get much RPG love in the states) where pretty much all 'big' games were on the SNES and there wasn't such a mountain of crap for the good stuff to be buried under.

No physical bonus, unfortunately, but there is peace of mind. Especially when your only real source for games in a small midwest town is a Gamestop that doesn't even bother to actually carry any selection of GBA titles to speak of.

I've been to that Gamestop.
I know. You used to spit on me when I offered you a 20% discount on strategy guides.

19. The weeaboo in me wishes for name corrections, but the nostalgic loser in me wishes for them to be left alone.
Confliction.
Heh. I was expecting those comments to be a bunch of frothing idiots who have somehow developed the ability to type in a not-quite coherent script. Instead some of them are pretty witty and amusing.

The exception, not the rule, which is why it stuck out for me. :P
Fuck, I realized I may have to delay my Phoenix Wright purchase to pick this up. I'm holding myself to more stringent purchasing guidelines now. This is in two weeks, right?

I can't buy Phoenix Wright at all to afford this game. It was a tough choice, but in the end nostalgia and replayability won out.
In a nutshell, it's pure nonsense. Urban Dictionary has multiple definitions pertaining to 4chan and anime fanatics, but basically, it's just nonsense.

Sadly, I end up knowing all of this stuff. It's a 4ch placeholder term for "wapanese," which is a derogitory term along the lines of "wigger" for an American who fancies himself an otaku and salivates over all things Japanese.
It comes from an infamous Perry Bible Fellowship comic strip, which uses the term just as a nonsensical term.

Okay, now enlighten me on the origin of "rape dollars". kthxbye

This is probably not the first use of the term, but I could easily see it being where the meme got popular.

Don't know it off the top of my head, and I'm confident a Google search at work will get me fired. I'll look it up later, though. (Etymology fascinates me.)

I merely brought it up because I've been a member of this forum for what seems like forever and though I have used it many times in the past, I never quite knew where it came from. It's just damn funny (when used appropriately).
We're nearing one week away! This bitch better fly off the shelves!
Also, I was thinking, using this game and Super Mario 64 as examples, it takes roughly 8 years for a console game to become a portable game. (Was anything REALLY stopping FF6a from coming out sooner technologically speaking?)
I'd buy one and just wait and pick up the other But the last time I waited, and was ready to buy Final Fantasy IV, V had come out. After that (like the day after), I've been un-able to find IV... And I'm afraid the same will happen to V.
I'm worried that once VI comes out, V will vanish like IV did.

Halp!
If you don't buy Final Fantasy VI, your soul is forfeit.
So how much will I be screwing myself by playing this game for the first time on a GBA instead of a TV? Am I making a mistake by doing so?
No, but you may want headphones instead of the small speakers on your handheld of choice. Other than that, it's an SNES game -- they don't look better on big screens. You'll be fine.
The sound/music isn't as good because of the GBA hardware, but other than that there shouldn't be a big problem. But definitely yes with the headphones. At least get the most out of the sound you'll get.

Look up homebrew for the PSP.
There isn't a bonus, is there?

You think that the strat guide people would miss the chance to suck another 20 bucks out of your wallet?
The FFV guide was actually pretty decent, so I would pick up the FFVI one as well given the chance.

Hotel Dusk is out, and so is this.
I have $44.00...
The question is, Final Fantasy V or Hotel Dusk?

I've played many awesome games exclusively on the GBA, and it didn't hurt the experience one bit.
