    Thats awesome.

Anyway, I usually ended up maxxing out everyone eventually. I actually liked relm once I got the relic that changed sketch into control. Locke (obviously) was pretty much always in my party, terra, celes and edgar where regulars too. Runic is an amazing ability, especially if you are trying to do a low level run.

I agree with this chance, unlike Terra -> Tina.

Cyan is such a cool character.

I'm hoping for a method to get both the Ragnarok sword and esper with the new dungeon

I usually just used the first level, its better than a standard attack (same damage from back row, increased damage, can't miss) but otherwise yeah. Unless you have quick, and there are far better ways to abuse quick  Although the fourth level wasnt too bad (and didnt take too long to charge too either).

If they follow pattern with the other GBA/DS FFs, we'll likely not see new ways to get the older weapons but rather new weapons entirely. Unlike the previous ones though FFVI already had an Ultima Weapon. (sort of, in Atma for the US) That's usually the big weap in the bonus dungeons.

    Which actually makes me curious....

[spoiler:3be3bc90ac]In some versions of FF6 when you stole from the 3 statues at the end of the game, past the point of no return, you got duplicates of the legendary weapons. Ragnarok, Illumina (I think) and Atma Weapon. My version only let me steal Elixirs, however. So I'm wondering if in the GBA version we'll be able to steal those from the statues and keep them. It was like that in FFV, you could steal a Ragnarok from Neo Ex-Death among other things, then got to keep them when the game asked you to save after the ending.[/spoiler:3be3bc90ac]

My memories are kinda hazy, but I thought they were past the point? I know for sure I couldn't steal squat from them anyway, tried it numerous times on my cart, while my friend's let him steal all the live long day.

Edit: Chupon isn't hard so much as you need blind luck to beat him. Just gear up Locke with some crazy-ass equipment and pray he goes first. I'm not aware of any sure-fire way to win, but he's definitely beatable.

    You will make time

    Best place to unlock that:

[spoiler:b4dd00ca50]Tiny desert on the island you start on in the WoR, the enemies there (peepers and earthguards) have a very small number of HP and actually lose that hp as the battle goes on (this is because you can steal some very good stuff from them). So you can just engauge in battles and not actually input anything in order to win the battle[/spoiler:b4dd00ca50]

Personally, I'm most excited to see how the remastered translation came out. I thought they totally nailed FF4:A's (Left in the famous "spoony bard", took out the ridiculous "acchhoooo!" attack of Yang's, and just all around made everything perfect). Hopefully they left the opera alone though. You don't mess with perfection ;)

Can't wait until preorder comes in :D

That's exactly what I used to do to unlock the shield. Goes pretty quick.

I always did it, too, because I would always take the sword over the esper, and damnit, I wanted my Ultima!

I love items that teach you spells. There was a ring that teaches you x- zone, and of course the elemental shields teaching the level 2 spells. Any other items besides those?

I usually took the esper because the morph ability of the esper was quite abusable (and atma weapon was a better ultimate weapon  )

But yeah, also the force shield teach shell at x5, and the imp equipment teaches imp (but I think you get imp at like a x10 rate nomally from an early esper, so not so useful)

Wow, that sounds a lot better. Still has a bit of a jarring effect when switching notes, but it is much smoother than before. The opera is one of my favorite scenes in any FF ever. So much so that I recall taping it, like with a VCR, way back when.

I remember going celes, lock, edgar, and Shadow for the final level, i gave lock the dual wield accessory (or was it edgar) and had him hold Atma in his right and the dagger that got stronger as you got weaker in his left (I think it was lock since he could hold a sword and a dagger). So with either max health or little health, he was doing 9999 damage. No wait! it was Shadow (throwing the most expensive sword I could buy), Setzer (quadruple attack + devil dice = possibility of over 40K of damage in a turn) Locke using the dual technique, and celes simply because she was the powerleveled 1.
