James Flemons was so obsessed with fantasy role-playing games that he didn't know fantasy from reality, his lawyer says.

Don't know if this should go here or D&D but I figured I'd try here first.
Long story short, the guy walks into work with a homemade samurai sword, kills a coworker who had been teasing him about his role-playing hobby then goes to get a beer and cigar.

According to the article, this isn't the first time he's attacked people with a sword either, facing a conviction in 98 for attacking his uncle and then the police officer who responded.

So, insane person who should be locked up, or greatest LARP ever?

Defense attorney David Roby said his client, James Flemons, was in the throes of a schizophrenic episode on Oct. 27, 2004, and believed he was a ninja killing a foe when he attacked and killed his 43-year-old co-worker Anthony Williams.

"He became his fantasy," Roby said. "He was a ninja doing an honorable thing with a person he perceived to be his confederate who he had a beef with."

I say he should be sentenced to death via frisbee in the throat.

Oh god. When I was younger, me and my friends wanted to burn the Harry Potter books.

    Then I moved to Georgia.

Hey so, a lot of people are going to be pretty pissed that you just suggested that we execute a mentally handicapped person.

Fixed for moral debate. Please to be finding a more suitable forum.

Edit: The man made his own samurai sword. He's not mentally challenged, he's a craftsman savant!

That guy looks like the last person I would mock for playing D&D.
Than again I play D&D so I wouldn't laugh at him in the first place.
DMing that guy must have been awkward,
"Okay James you enter the tavern, what do you do?"
"KILL THE MOTHERFUCKER WHO HAS MADE MY LIFE HELL!!!!"
"I'll just put you down for 'going to bed'."
