xbox run through PC?

I was considering hooking my 360 up to my PC and I wonder if anyone has any advice/experience they can share. My wife and I just got this swanky HP PC that has all these RCA and sVid ports and I was thinking that it would be better to run my 360 through it because of the better monitor than my SD TV. Any input would be appreciated.

BTW the computer is a HP model #m8300f

you'd be MUCH better off running the 360 right to the monitor rather than through the PC.

What is the desired outcome? Output to your monitor? Or feed video into your PC?

Get a VGA cable for the xbox, get a cheap A/B video selector and connect it all via that.

The reason you don't want to run the xbox "through" the PC is it can introduce video lag, which can be ignored when watching a movie, but when playing a game it'll drive you insane. I'd say try it before investing money in more cables, see if it bothers you, just be prepared that it could be sub-optimal.

Other thing to consider is device contention. Using the xbox means no one can use the PC, and vice versa. ;)

thanks guys, I didnt realize the lag issue was a factor. And didn't even think about device contention.
