best horde map I've played so far is Statis, we got to 37 with four of us before it just got to be too much.
1 dude guarding the left side, two on the right and myself up top to keep them from spawning behind us and we were nearly perfect. But damn tickers hurt a lot once they get that x2 damage bonus.
The other really fun one we did was an outdoor one in some city streets with a giant emergence hole in it. I wish I could remember the name but there's two catwalks on either side that were pretty easy to hold up on. Though the ammo was tricky to get in the later waves.

Day One
we got up to 40 on that one, we had four of us
two on each of the catwalks
it became insane, the guys that ride the things would just rush
me and my buddy lasted far longer up there then we should have

It kind of cheapens the experience but if you plant shields in the right spots on the catwalks the bigger enemies cant get through to you.
Well at least until one of them decides to kick it over, the first time that happened my ear was assaulted with a string of "fuck shit what the fuck were did he come from."
ahh yeah I tend to start with the Hammer Burst and pick up the bow as soon as I can. Popping a Locusts head off before the arrow explodes is not nearly as satisfying as I wish it was.
Normally one or two of us go with the lancer and we just make sure we split them up, lancer up front hamer burst in the back seems to be working for us.
Also I have my gold plated Hammer Burst and it looks so terrible so I have to use it every match.

The easiest to hold by far is Security with it's laser gates and narrow corridors leading to the laser gates. You can mine the corridors and the power weapons always spawn inside the gates.
It personifies the concept behind Horde. Thousands throwing themselves against a fixed position. It just doesn't feel right on any other map.

We actually did play Security and it was really good. Statis is just whats sticking out in my mind as my favorite so far.
We also did Avalanche and it was pretty cool, we perched up on the incline to the left of the starting point. It was nice because it had the same feel as Security but the fact that we had no roof made it seem more open and intense.

playing on river and holding the broken down house feels like a zombie game though
i love it
I am smashism on the OP, obviously.

when I realized that the entire section from when you see Landown to when you shoot that Brumak at the very end, is scripted. At one point two drones get on the rig but otherwise every single thing plays out exactly the same and you have no ability to affect anything. The gunplay is still super fun but this was disappointing. BIGGER, MORE BADASS, LESS INTERACTIVE

it gets progressively more interactive and awesome
also, i like how the torque bow now lighst up when you have the reticule on a dude but i still can't shoot it
there's hardly any ammo and you have to shoot it at a certain time or whoops
I have yet to find the torque bow. Also, am I a fool for wanting to always carry the Lancer? Chels carries the hammerburst more often then not and I'm with the lancer.
I do so love the Boltok Pistol though.

I like the Lancer, but the melee can be pretty unreliable at times.
If they get that close I generally try to switch to the Boltok or the shotgun.

And yeah, I'm pretty much down for whatever now that I've got the hang of it.

All the time.
Always shouting, "BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN"
Same thing happened to my Wii when the power went out.
Shooting people is fun.
I was up to something like 1200 kills by the time I finished.
Satans..... hints.....

it's like a sniper rifle you have to charge up and can't zoom in as well

and the boltok is great
im not sure about the gorgon yet
but you also dont need a headshot, hit them anywhere and it's a one hit kill
the explosion also does radial damage, you can stick an arrow next to them or on a wall above them and it can knock them down
totally
