So, War is officially bullshit tonight. Here's something fun for the kiddies, I was running a scenario and here's my Destro team:
How about they get SEVEN MORE FUCKING PEOPLE THAN OUR TEAM? 20 to 13, WONDERIFFIC. Every single match I've played in tonight Order has had at least a 1/3rd more people. Fuck this bullshit.
EDIT - Regarding this match, when we started the teams were even sizes, and were that way for like 3 minutes. Then, out of nowhere, this huge fucking zerg sweeps our team back into our spawn, and the spawn guards don't even do shit. I KNOW I have been killed by the Order guards on that map.
DUDE, CALM DOWN.
What's happening is that the scoreboard shows anyone who's been in that match. What usually happens is you'll have Order pop in, get bored, and leave. Then someone else comes in.
It was capped at 12 people in at once, but when you have people popping in and out, they all show up on the scoreboard.
I'm trying to figure out why I have never been able to leave a scenario. I left a scenario once, like the first few days of the game before any patch. Ever since then, the few occasions I really need to leave (we're talking once or twice a week maybe) it has never worked. At first I thought it was just something in the current patch, but the game has been patched at least 10 times since I first noticed this and I'm guessing it's something on my end.
When I run into the portal the prompt comes up asking me if I really want to leave. I click "Yes", then it goes away and my character is teleported to the respawn point (usually a few feet away from the portal). This can go on ad infinitum if I keep trying. I've tried waiting a minute or two in case it's a balance or team size issue, but that doesn't seem to affect it.
The best thing is when two people get blocked by lag in Mourkain. Had it happen multiple times- game starts, everyone charges forward, then on the stairs the person in front of you suddenly stops and blocks you. Asking about it on Vent I discovered that on their screen, I was the one in front and I was the one that stopped, bloking them.
I rolled this Shaman just to tide me over til Blackguard, but damn if I don't love him. Especially with his Silence ability I'm actually able to deal with Order's healers instead of relying on the PuG to finish off the tank (never) before hitting their healers. Repeatedly in Serpent's Passage I've managed to spook a healer enough to get him to run and slap a Gork Sez Stop and hit them with a Silence just as they notice and stop to heal and thus finishing them off with a Bunch o Waaagh!
I've been fighting the urge to ditch my Chosen and embrace the Waaagh since launch. I figure if I'll inevitably end up playing a fucking Warlock Engineer in the first expansion...
*ahem*
... then I should stick with melee now, because it's still pretty enjoyable.

Really, you think maybe I couldn't see that we were horribly outnumbered on my own, and possibly just used the screenshot for an example? I can tell you with absolute certainty that we were outnumbered in that match. Trust me, I was in there! I am 100% positive that we were outnumbered in every single match I was in yesterday, and it's something that's been happening a lot more since the scenario change.
I've seen that happen from time to time, we usually see 1 destro toon sitting around jumping every minute to get the end reward for the map or some such and sometimes people leave the scenario, giving order the advantage.
I've also had maps where we have plenty more people than Order since order backed out.
I also saw something very interesting last night. Clever, and it also explanis in part why this particular 4 person group has such good gear. When we took an order keep, there were some order hiding inside the first wall. Once destro left, they had other friends go die to the guards at the wall door and get rezzed inside the wall so they only had 1 door to knock down to get to keep lord. It also doesn't help that people on my server want to let them take keeps so we can take it back for the gold bags. I love defending compared to attacking heh.
i love defending the tier 4 keeps, its so much fun when the first set of doors are about to break and all the defenders rally to push back the oncoming rush.

It's definitely a real bug. It's caused by players hitting the "give me a minute" button when their queue pops. As soon as the first timer ticks down for them, the game believes that they aren't going to join, and looks for other people to queue into the game. However, when you finally hit Join after deferring the game, it will put you in the same game. So you can cause scenarios where six people defer the game, then another six people get a pop into the game just as it starts, but then the original six people ALSO join the game.
Even in T3 i'd get raped after killing 1 or 2 people tops. Class is bs.
Shit yes if you run in solo you are going to get raped. If a Blorc runs in solo he's going to slowely get raped and kill no one. This isn't Rambohammer Online: Age of Fragging.
I have been in several Doomfist Craters where the Order team seriously outnumbers the Destruction team and vice versa.
The thing is, generally, the outnumbered team sticks around for 2-3 minutes before realizing "Hey, we're seriously outnumbered" and then enough leave the scenario until it closes due to lack of population.
I haven't been in scenario with an extra team yet, but last night scenarios were acting a bit strange.
I was duoing with a guy, and even though I was queuing us up as a team it didn't always put us in the same scenario. After getting caught once we'd double check to see if the same one had popped and dequeue if not.
Also, we ended up in a High Pass with just the 2 of us. A single Destro joined about a minute in, but left when he saw the team balance. Got 3 captures before scenario timeout, free 4k xp :P

My favorite is when I'm duoing with a guild WE to take down casters/healers and usually I find some realization that I am no longer behind our front line and possibly the only one left up front. That makes me sad and usually very dead.
Otherwise, the most common issue I see with Destro at T4 isn't a lack of coordination for targets, it's the not sticking together. We see little groups go up and get pounded.
No offense but why did it take you until T4 to realise that? WH stopped being competitive after T1, practically. They're easily the lowest of the melee DPS classes.
They are better off than WLs at least. I mean, at least they have a working snare and aren't reliant on such a weak pet. And I think WHs are actually about right. The first problem is that RDPS (pretty much BWs/Sorcs now, but the patch is looking to change that to include SWs/SHs as well) dominates the current game. That eclipses the other problem, which is that MDPS Order classes are worse than their mirrors. I don't understand how anyone can really claim otherwise.
When you compare a witch elf with a witch hunter, the witch hunter comes off looking worse by almost every metric. WEs don't have to worry about splitting stat points. The auto-levelling of ballistics helps that, but you still have ballistics on gear and you still have to try and account for the difference. The damage proc for WHs is on executions, which means to come close to Witch Elf DPS via Kisses you need to execution spam. But the only execution that doesn't have a 10s cooldown and isn't channelled is Absolution. So Absolution spam becomes the norm if you want to do the high DPS your class was intended to do.
Flowing accusations, which is our tactic that is supposed to increase our class defining damage more, is worse than WE's Kiss of Doom. Granted, WEs have to spend a handful of Mastery Points on it, but its a trade I'd make any day. Plus, if you are going for Absolution spam to get high DPS, WHs will likely need to drop a bunch of Mastery in Confession to get the good Shroud anyhow.
On top of this they get two ways to knockdown, tied to frenzies. And a way to globally increase their crit chance. WHs have a crit chance increase tactic that is tied to one ability, Absolution. WHs have one that is tied to a bloodlust counter that they can maintain, since they don't need to frenzy spam to DPS in the same way WHs have to execution spam. Brute Force on WEs also works better, since its unlikely that strength will account for the majority of your damage as a WH, so its not as good.
Also, WE's Kisses will continue to function purely on autoattack for up to two minutes, whereas execution spam will not.
About the only way a WH bests a WE is a Confession based Riposte build that basically relies on stupid melee trying to solo you. At least then they can leverage Repel Blashpemy, for which WEs have equivalent. And such a build makes you a one trick pony indeed.

This! This is what I see every single freaking match. Destro splits up into 5-10 little 2 man groups, trying to play it like it would be World of Solocraft, Order bunches together like the Bright Wizard loving sheep they are, and rolls over us like... something big heavy and stupid. Maybe a rock?
I guess what I'm trying to say is healing 5-10 little 2 man groups is hard as hell, and I want a cookie.

That's a great explanation of why WH's suck ass right now.
And I'm definitely going to avoid making one for sure.

In Serpent's, I usually play with a guild group and we always stick together, but unless we think flanking is a good idea, we tend to stick with the group unless we like dying often.
One thing that has always pissed me off about this game- Clicking on a creature or person does not display a picture of them in their target box. Any mods to fix it?
Also another mod I have been wanting- is there a way to make it so right clicking on the map will take you up one level instead of....doing nothing unless you are on a quest?
I've been gone for about a week but I'm wondering how the demand is in the AH for crafting supplies? I generally save up on cultivating/apoc supplies with my scavenger since I don't have room for much else and I have a couple of 20 piles of water and leeches and stuff. Is there any takers or should I just vendor it?

I can't even target with all the lag and once I do, I get aoed by a sorc or some fucking thing.

You can probably sell any waters, gold dust, and curios at the AH in bundles of 20. Leeches IMO are vendor trash. Mainly because healing primaries aren't that rare, and you use multiple waters for pretty much any healing potion since they have a greater difficulty. Low level curios/dust may or may not sell well. It really doesn't help you level up as far as I can tell, and I doubt many people actually use low level talismans from the AH.
The big money I think is made at high level (+19) talismans. But talisman making is a nightmare more or less without at least two high level characters participating (scavenger for the curios/dust and salvager for the fragments/essence). Even then its expensive if you are forced to AH for salvage.

I've universally ignored the crafting on all my MANY characters. The only thing I do is grab scavange once I have some extra bags to vendor most of the stuff for a little extra cash. Some of it sells ok at auction, but I normally don't make time to hit the AH just to sell it. If they change it to either be more engaging/interesting OR far easier and less interdependent (looking at you Talisman making) it ends up just getting in the way of more smashing and killing.
[Edit]: Not that WAR even needs it really. The game would play just fine without it in my mind.
Q. Will the early unlocking of the classes be doable by lesser tiers characters? Or will you have to have a T4 char to unlock them?
A. The goal of the event is that every task is soloable, can be done by any level, and is doable in an hour or less.
Q. What’s the first step to getting started in this live event? How will I know where the event is taking place in my zone?
A. Just open up your Tome of Knowledge and click on the Live Events section. Take a moment to listen, and then check out the daily task that’s set before you. Each day, this page will change in order to tell you what the task is for that day. Make sure you log in every day to see what the next task is. The tasks will change every day around midday Eastern time.
Q. I take it those people who have unlocked the classes will be able to continue playing them once they're released for others? Not just a preview period?
A. Yes, once you unlock the class you’ll be able to play it for as long as you choose. If you don’t do the event, you will still be able to play the classes, just not a week early.
Q. Will the early unlocking of the classes be doable by lesser tiers characters? Or will you have to have a T4 char to unlock them?
A. The goal of the event is that every task is soloable, can be done by any level, and is doable in an hour or less.
Q. When I complete the live event with a character, can I only make a KotBS/Blackgaurd on that specific server or will I be able to make one on a different server. Also if I complete it as a destruction character will I be able to create a KotBS, or if on Order be able to create a Blackguard (on a different server)?
A. Once you complete the event and receive your elite reward, your account is flagged as an account which can access the Black Guard and Knight of the Blazing Sun early. Both careers are unlocked at once and you can create them on any server you choose.
Q. Will you fill out the influence solely by doing the daily quests/tasks, or will extras be required? If it can be done just by completing the tasks, then will there be a lottery amongst the people who reach elite influence, or will you pick out the targets that did the best/ got the highest score etc.?
A. The influence bar will fill just by completing the daily tasks. If you complete every task, you will fill your influence bar to 100% and more. Everyone who gets enough influence for the elite reward will unlock the careers for the extra time, there will be no lottery.
Q. Are the 'live events' for this one going to be pvp only for some parts of it? Or will pve be able to be done to complete it (but at a slower pace)?
A. Each daily task is different. Some are pvp and some are pve, but you’ll have to do a mixture of both. About half of them are based in Reikland Factory, so make sure you queue up on the days that it’s required!
Q. Are the daily tasks for the Heavy Metal event set the same every day, or do we get something new and fresh each time?
A. There are a couple of repeats, but the vast majority of tasks are unique every day.
Some are broad, such as “complete 5 quests” or “complete any 3 stages of any PQ” and some are very specific like “detonate the steam tank ammo in Reikland Factory scenario,” but there are unique ones on most days.
Q. Will the Heavy Metal event introduce an open RVR component, like Witching Night did? I'm looking forward to what sounds like a really cool Reikland Factory scenario, but I'm also hoping that there will also be considerable encouragement for open field combat.
A. Each event is different, and there is at least one daily task that encourages open RvR, but the Heavy Metal event focuses mainly on our unique temporary scenario, Reikland Factory.
Q. Are there more rewards to earn during the event than just the chance to play the new classes? I was thinking of special titles, capes or other vanity items?
A. Yes, during this event you can earn Basic, Advanced, and Elite rewards. The Basic reward is a trophy, the Advanced reward is a cloak, and the Elite is the ability to play the two new Careers early!
Q. Where’d the name Heavy Metal come from? Are we going to get 80s hair-band-themed masks or something?
A. The name is tongue-in-cheek mostly. You see, we believe that Warhammer is the heavy metal of MMOs. It was also a nod to Games Workshop’s painting group called ‘Eavy Metal, and of course, since the new classes are tank classes, the name just seemed to be a perfect fit.
Q. Will the rewards, like the four different masks from the last live event, be obtainable only through these daily tasks or will we need to rely on the very low odds of getting a gold loot bag for example to get that final item?
A. The rewards for this event are obtained 100% through influence from doing daily tasks. Once your influence bar is full, visit your Event Herald in the cities. The final reward is the Heavy Metal Chest. Open the chest to unlock the Careers.
Q. When the Event Heralds return for this event, will I be able to turn in influence from the last?
A. The Event Heralds are different NPCs each time, and therefore will not offer the rewards for previous events.
Q. With the new Careers, will we also get a new character slot?
A. We don’t have plans to add another character slot for the new classes.
Q. Will I be able to play the new careers immediately after receiving the elite reward?
A. Not immediately after. The new careers will be available one week before everyone else, for those who succeed in unlocking them. Make sure you watch the Herald for the exact date!
Q. If the sole component--or at least key component--of the Live Event is going to be the scenario, and anyone from ranks 1-40 can join the scenario, how will the scenario be balanced so that the side with the most 40s practically autowins? Mass Bolster up to 40?
A. Event Scenarios are bracketed differently than regular Scenarios because all players can access it at any level. Players will still be matched up against other players within their relative levels (1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40) and bolstering will still take effect in those brackets accordingly.
Q. Quoted from the KoTBS page: As with all heavily armored fighters the Knight of the Blazing sun is slower at closing the distance with ranged attackers and can be very vulnerable to ranged magic or missile fire. Does this mean that KOTBS is more vulnerable in these areas than other careers are?
A. No, not at all. The Knight is just as capable as any other career of his archetype -
it's that none of the Tank archetype careers are as mobile as the more lightly-armored melee attackers. The best way for enemies to take down the Knights (and all of his other heavily-armored brethren) is from a distance, where their lack of significant long-range attacks puts them at the greatest disadvantage. Naturally, however, Knights are sturdy defenders, and when they weather your assault and close the distance, then the tables will turn!
Q. There will be many people who will be unable to be online every day due to RL circumstances, but will be capable of making up for lost time on other days. Will these people be able to earn enough influence in the event to get the elite reward?
A. The first half of the event will require you to log in every day to complete a daily task. Since the second half of the event will be taking place during the Thanksgiving holiday here in the US, we have decided that your Tome will list the remaining tasks available at that time. This means that you could then choose to do several tasks from the second half of the event in one day. Just remember, you must do all of the daily tasks in order to receive the elite reward, and during the first half of the event, these tasks will be switched out once a day around midday EST!

So... yes. Yes you do. And god help you if you have to group up to do one of these (I'm looking at YOU, Mr. Destro Scen PUG).

WHOA, Does this mean I have to scratch my plans to do it on my Rank 21 that I was leaving at 21 specifically so that he could be at the top of what I thought his bracket was gonna be?
Where the hell did the 21-30 bracket come from? Any confirmation on this?

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

People are idiots. If you have to group up in some sort of pvp, eventually through random chance you'll eventually have a group of idiots slightly less stupid than your opponents and you'll win. Remember that everyone will be trying to do this event.
I would also expect you to be able to go to a past tier and complete any PVE tasks there instead of your current tier. It seems like the kind of thing mythic would accidentally overlook and sheepishly patch restrictions in later.
I wonder if the KotBS will indicate possible changes for the Chosen.
The Mouths will have calendar items to support grouping for this thing.
Cool. I had planned to do this on my 21 Marauder, but the rank ranges listed concern me. If that's not a typo then i need to buckle down and rank up, but I'd like official confirmation of that before I end up ranking out of T2, only to find that I'm a 27 in a 31 max scenario.

Well that makes me sad. I am busy on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday or every week. My choice is either to not participate in this event or to participate knowing that I cannot 'win'.
...
On the other hand, 'winning' just means that I get the class a week early, so I guess I'll get over it.

Witch Hunters are useless in keep raids.
I don't know - I don't doubt that your experiences are genuine, but they certainly don't mirror what I've seen. One of my favorite silly keep seige things to do is to stand alone (as a healer) outside of the postern door, and have a few Witch Hunter friends concealed by rocks/brush, or in stealth. Destruction guy or two runs up expecting an easy healer kill, and they get facefuls of Van Helsing.
And like I said before - get a guild group going, and hop on the assist train.
I just cancelled my sub, I love warhammer but there really is no excuse for the terrible performance. I can run crysis and fallout 3 at the same time while windowed and get a better framerate in both of them than I do in warhammer during a keep siege.
Maybe someday they'll fix it, but probably not, so sad

DUDE, CALM DOWN.
What's happening is that the scoreboard shows anyone who's been in that match. What usually happens is you'll have Order pop in, get bored, and leave. Then someone else comes in.
It was capped at 12 people in at once, but when you have people popping in and out, they all show up on the scoreboard.
It was great before a few weeks ago when they fixed the bug that was allowing anyone to buy them regardless of guild rank.
edit: Anyone know when the 20% renown/xp bonus on Red Eye Mountain ends? I read 11/16 in a post somewhere, but all the Herald says is "limited time".
A single alt is ok in the Mouths at the moment.
The mind boggles.
*ahem*
... then I should stick with melee now, because it's still pretty enjoyable.

I love defending compared to attacking heh.
man
It's definitely a real bug.
Crying generally ensues.
Shit yes if you run in solo you are going to get raped. If a Blorc runs in solo he's going to slowely get raped and kill no one. This isn't Rambohammer Online: Age of Fragging.
The thing is, generally, the outnumbered team sticks around for 2-3 minutes before realizing "Hey, we're seriously outnumbered" and then enough leave the scenario until it closes due to lack of population.
Also another mod I have been wanting- is there a way to make it so right clicking on the map will take you up one level instead of....doing nothing unless you are on a quest?
Witch Hunters are useless in keep raids.
People are idiots. If you have to group up in some sort of pvp, eventually through random chance you'll eventually have a group of idiots slightly less stupid than your opponents and you'll win. Remember that everyone will be trying to do this event.
I would also expect you to be able to go to a past tier and complete any PVE tasks there instead of your current tier. It seems like the kind of thing mythic would accidentally overlook and sheepishly patch restrictions in later.
The Mouths will have calendar items to support grouping for this thing.
Cool. I had planned to do this on my 21 Marauder, but the rank ranges listed concern me. If that's not a typo then i need to buckle down and rank up, but I'd like official confirmation of that before I end up ranking out of T2, only to find that I'm a 27 in a 31 max scenario.
...
On the other hand, 'winning' just means that I get the class a week early, so I guess I'll get over it.
