More ORvR makes me happy. Now to take a shower and then level my chosen.

I love not having class because my lecture and lab professor took a week off.

    Edit: My Plan? Foiled.

Damn it, they are trying to prevent me from playing a BG and go back to my Chosen, aren't they?

The wife looooves WAR but is not at all a fan of ORvR, at least as melee. Of course she also crashed to desktop last night while doing it so that doesn't help.

Servers are down until 4, woe is me!

And those people need to stop complaining to Mark all the time. It's not like they can change the whole game all at once. I can see they're working hard to improve the game as much as possible, that's all I need for now.

To be fair, he probably doesn't really have any real satisfactory answers to those questions. 'We're working on it' tends to pale after a while, no matter how good the spin, even if it is the best answer you can give.

Edit: Not to slag Mark or anything, a lot of these problems are tricky. But a lot of them also fall in the bucket of 'always ongoing' or 'hell, if we knew I'd tell you now.'

Very glad to hear that he mentioned about new inter zone travel options.

T2 was pretty downright annoying before a mount. And call me lazy, but going through the guildhall and the loading screens is just kind of annoying. Not to mention that for some reason, if i have more than one guild recall scroll, two get eaten every time i zone with them. o_O

The second week of tasks started today, so you can fill up your influence bar today and get the chest. Once you get it from the herald, you just click it and it tells you that the BG and Knobs will be unlocked at the end of the Heavy Metal event.

there was a lot of oRvR going on yesterday (for a change) due to the daily task. This was in the tiers I checked (1, 2, and 4). Then there was that huge push for Pragg last night that started a little after 5, then got into full swing at 6. I believe Tier 3 and a bit of Tier 2 had some good "goings-on" in the oRvR areas last night as well. Usually when I log on it's medium/medium. If I log on early in the day it's low/low because, well, it's early in the day. Things begin to steadily pick up after 5ish because that's when everyone gets home.

Yeah, ORVR on Iron Rock was basically nonstop yesterday (in T4 - no idea on the other tiers) from about 11am until Midnight (probably longer, but I went to bed at that point). Ideally, I'm hoping that enough people enjoyed it that tonight they'll say "Lets do it again!". Who knows though - it's kind of disheartening to think that the playerbase needs little widget rewards to go out and fight.

Yeah, like I posted earlier in the thread, Avelorn (part of the t3 elf rvr lake) was hopping for at least 4 hours non-stop last night. Got my 15 pretty quick (<3 boiling oil) but stuck around afterward for a long time)

I love to do open RvR but just can't really do shit on my own as an archmage. The only classes I can really take out are tanks because they hit me for so little.

I did go out into an rvr lake one time with a bright wizard and just the two of us would "tap" the guards at a keep so the message would pop up saying "zomg the keep is under attack", then we'd run and hide behind some trees or a rock and wait for soem destro to show up trying to save it. Usually if there were less than 5 of them together or if they came 1 at a time we could pick them off.

I think I got like 10k xp in T2 doing that for about 10 minutes. While it wasn't that much xp it was damn fun.

I wish they would change the alerts from like instant "THE KEEP LORD IS UNDER ATTACK" to "Some jerk arch mage and BW are just messing with guards to sucker you out here, dont waste the time running out"

jk, but seriously I would kill for people to actually do that to me. It pisses me off to run all the way to the keep and look around for a couple minutes just to find out NO ONE wants any of my orange goodness.

I can also kill a Sorcress pretty reliably as an AM as well as Tanks. For some reason Squig herders have no problem taking my out though and of course all of the MDPS classes bend me over if they find me.

I think it's because either their dark magic is low and they don't do enough damage or it's high and they kill themselves. It's pretty easy to DoT, curse and perhaps do one damage spell, then detaunt, shield, stack HoT's and perhaps morale heal if you need it. Then either finish them with damage or do it again with your second detaunt this time.
Only important thing is to start healing yourself in time because those crits can hurt and a crit + morale ability can kill you really easily if your health gets low.

Usually they blow themselves up before that though.

A squig herder can effectively lock down an Archmage - with the way setbacks work in the current version of the game, you can't get a heal off when you've got that shrapnel pet on you, and then you get the plink-plink-plink of arrows, and that's all she wrote.
