I kinda want to delete my character just to see it again, my God, it's just such an amazing experience.
One of the very, very few times I've prompted to turn the music back on in the game. And the music blew me away too.

It wasn't so bad when I went to Wal-Mart for TBC release (waiting for tomorrow for WoTLK though)---a small number of people waiting around, none of whom were total jackasses or smelled like they hadn't bathed. We waited until midnight, the guy pulled out the pallet and we all went on our merry way.
My BC purchase experience was interesting. I didn't go at midnight, but I did stop at Best Buy on my way to work. This happened to be before the store actually opened. So there was myself and fifteen or twenty other people milling around not really talking to each other outside Best Buy at 9 a.m. or whatever. Mostly late-20s men in business suits or at least nice shirts and khakis, plus a typical college guy and his girlfriend, and a grandma type. Once they let us inside, we noticed there had been a lot more people waiting at the other entrance (which was outside, not inside a lobby like ours... fools!) and those were more of the unwashed awkward nerd talking about their rogue loudly type. The whole process went very smoothly though.
Thank you for linking that. I clicked the video of the so called "Best Paladin in the World," and now I need to go scrub my eyes and ears out with steel wool to remove the taint.
A few guys in my guild who are RL friends set up some pact to buy a bunch of energy drinks and alcohol and whatever, then just run five mans for days straight until they're all 80. It made me laugh to see them still 70 in the Nexus while others who were questing were hitting 72. Quests are your friends, people!
Stuck at work, but I was pretty impressed with the server stability last night, the only problems were mob spawning, and with the number of people, that's not a surprise. Hopefully it'll still be decent when I get home from work. Now I have to try and actually be functional for a couple hours, make it worth coming in today.

I've seen the guy before when someone linked a story concerning internet neutrality in G&T. If you look at his youtub vids, all of them have a shot of his girlfriend's cleavage. He quite literally whores her out in the hopes of getting hits.

I have the regular version so the DVD came in a slip pocket and I still don't see a CD-key.
Just picked a copy of this up for both me and my girlfriend from Wal-Mart. Walked in, asked for 2 copies, walked out with no fuss. Unfortunately, I've still got 5 more hours of work.
I'm also still debating if I want to install it tonight or not. I still have a lot of quests left in Outlands and I'm dirt poor in game right now so making gold from quests/dailies is appealing (along with the fact Northrend would probably be unstable right now anyways). On the other hand, I'll probably make more gold in Northrend in addition to leveling up, so I don't know.

So, silly-ish question, but I assume that all of the mods that worked just yesterday still work after upgrading to WotLK, correct? Since I'm assuming they didn't push a little minor upgrade patch through with the game.
My CE just came in the mail, waiting on the game to install and jumping around like a little schoolboy...its a shame I just got out of work, need to sleep then go back to work till past midnight.
Well, I had a copy of the collector's edition ordered from Amazon, but as of last night, it still hadn't shipped and wasn't scheduled to ship until the 14th. This was still my best option, until my roommate and one of our mutual frends decide to buy copies at the local Fred Meyer when it opens at 7am. I decided I'll join them and get my copy there. We're in a town of 30,000 people; how many people will show up to buy a collector's edition.
So we stay up all night playing Gears of War 2 and Left 4 Dead.. I casually check my Amazon account to cancel my order, only to find out that it's gone into "shipping soon" phase and I can't cancel. I'm rather crushed, as it means I either get two copies and have to try and sell one (a daunting task for me), or I have to wait and a few days. I get sad. I get angry. I decide to go sleep; but then my friend mentions that he's also getting a copy for his dad, and wold like me to go along just in case the store has a one-per-person policy.
So we leave a little before six, and after a quick stop by the ATM, we show up and get in line behind about 14 other people.. 25-30 more people show up in the time it takes for the store guys to come out and mention they're going to raffle off the measly SIX collectors editions the store got. Neither myself, nor my two friends won...
Suddenly I'm no longer angry about the Amazon.com order. Lessen learned: don't get so fucking stressed about stuff. Hopefully the server issues die down a bit by the time I get my copy in the mail.
So at 80 pretty much every single Outland faction except Shattered Sun, Ogri'la, Shatari Skyguard, and Sporeggar is going to become a pain in the ass to get exalted with, right?
Of course, this might be slightly mitigated if it is possible to solo level 70 instances and heroics when you are 80 (though you'd still be taking reduced rep from killing gray mobs, but at least you wouldn't have to find groups and what not).

Last night I decided to abandon all of my remaining Outland quests. All I had left were group quests anyway, but I figured there'd be plenty more quests to do in Northrend, as well as money.
And now I know my CE is waiting for me at home. I don't get off work for a little over 3 and a half hours. It will feel like 12 hours.
