Sex question

Hello H/A, I am posting on an alt account for obvious reasons. So, here's the deal: I'm a twenty year old second year in college, and I had never had sexual intercourse until last night. I met some girl at a bar, one thing led to the next, and I ended up having an absolutely amazing night of fornication. Anyway, the problem is, I was stupid and didn't wear a condom, and whenever I urinate, the end of my penis stings a bit at first. Also, the very tip stings to the touch. Is there any explanation to this other than an STD? Please tell me there is.

We really should just have a designated H/A smurf. :P

Does it burn or just sting? Its possible you, ah, went at it a bit too roughly. Depends how much and what you were doing, and how lubricated things were, but you can produce those symptoms by bruising or friction-burning your dick. If so, it should go away in a day or two.

But a STD is also a good possibility.

You may just be chafed, or having a bad reaction to her natural lubrication, or somesuch.

However, you just did something monumentally stupid. Get thee to a Planned Parenthood or sexual health clinic. Get tested for STDs. Listen to all the lectures you're going to get over what an absolutely boneheaded thing you did. ABSORB said lectures. Take your free baggie of condoms and swear to yourself that you will never again have unprotected sex without a committed relationship, clean STD screenings for both of you, and either her reliably on the Pill or the two of you trying for a baby. EVER.

Totally not a doctor here, but do STD:s really have that short of an incubation time? A quick googling doesn't yield anything really substantial or porbable, so I'd go with the friction/wear explanation.
If this pain at any time gets worse, or isn't completely gone in a day or two, see a specialist.
Oh and grats btw. Hope nothing unfortunate comes to either of you because of it.

I will also echo what some people said, and go do a screening immediately. And then post the results. Because we're damn curious. If you want.

That kind? Yes. Most of the "oh fucking god it burns" type are 'just' localized infections (or parasites) so they can kick in pretty quick.

Getting screened after an unprotected one night stand is probably a good idea. Also, I hope you didn't just kill yourself. Because that would suck.

But to the point, femaley juices can be quite acidic, and if you went hard and didn't clean up after, you may have chemically irritated the extremely sensitive skin you got there. Pretty normal to feel a bit of burn at the tip. So its prolly not going to fall off or anything. Yet.

And also, quit being a dumbass before you get symptoms that aren't so temporary, yeh?

I fail to see how the intercourse orgasm will make his penis sting but not the masturbation orgasm.

I seem to recall one of my friends being told to wait a few weeks (two? three?) before going in for certain STD tests...I'm pretty sure Planned Parenthood suggested that - I think it's something to do with your body taking some time to produce antibodies, and the antibodies are what they test for, so it may take awhile for them to show up. I'd call them (or really, any testing clinic in your area) and ask what the "waiting period" is for the certain STDs.

Get a full check, though, obviously. Whether or not you are having symptoms, I'd suggest getting testing for everything.

Most everyone has said all that needs to be said specifically about the possibility of infection, but I do want to add this so that maybe it will stick in your head in the future:

If a girl is dumb enough or drunk enough to fuck you without a condom after meeting you for half an hour in a goddamned bar, she is not the sort of person you want to have sex with without a condom. Who knows how many other random guys she's having unprotected one night stands with after meeting them for a few minutes in a bar.

    Wear a goddamned condom.

Yeah you should still definitely get yourself tested. There are a lot of people out there living with STDs who don't even know it. Some people never really present symptoms, but they can still pass it on to others. Or it might just take a while for the symptoms to present themselves in you.

So get yourself checked and use a condom.

This really isn't up for debate. You need to get checked. This is not something you play with, do not be one of those people who thinks, "It's fine. Nothing's probably gonna happen."

If you get tested, and it was nothing? Great. If you don't? You're retarded.

wow the over-reaction squad really got here fast.

Your wang is a sensitive thang. Having intercourse is not the exact same experience as masturbation and might irritate or chafe it the first time, thats probably what it is so there is no point to get all worked up just yet and scream HIV!AIDS!

However, its ofcourse not very clever to have unprotected sex with strangers, but it happens sometimes and its good to get checked out, if not for your own sake, so atleast for your future partners. But you need to wait atleast a few days, for HIV I think all the way up to three months or so before the tests will actually show anything, atleast with the common STDs.

Have sex. Be as safe as you can, but there is no point in hell getting all worked up thinking you are gonna die or have your penis explode jus because you had unprotected sex.

Um, no such thing as overreacting when you might have been exposed to HIV. Time is critical when it comes to this kind of thing- go get tested, and get a box or three of condoms so you don't fuck yourself next time you fuck.

IIRC something like 6 weeks, longer for certain types of test. It's also fairly unlikely. Not impossible, but rarely worth getting freaked out about.

However, some studies have suggested as many as 1/3 adults walking around with at least one STD - herpes, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, warts, crabs, HPV, hepatitis. AIDS may be the worst, but even if it didn't exist, unprotected sex is still Russian roulette. Nobody wins, some people just get to keep playing.

Do you think it's alright to wait until then and ask him? By the way, I know I made a really fucking stupid mistake, and I don't plan on making the same one again.

Firstly, you really ought to learn how to get yourself tested properly. You'll probably need to do it again someday, best suck it up now so you learn for the future. And I'm sure when it comes to shoving things down your urethra you want people that do it everyday.

Second thing I should add in now. Do not get a box of 3 condoms, get a box of 12 and have a couple of runs of putting a condomn on before hand. You do not want the first time you try and put one on in front of a girl whilst slightly inebriated.

    No, no we don't.

There's also an argument to be made around the fact that the U.S. is much more sexually repressed than similar industrialized nations, so the likelyhood of a sexual encounter being a drunken, condom-free, one-night stand is probably higher.

US sex education is pathetic. I had my non-required sex ed senior year of high school (2001, not exactly ancient history), and it consisted of misconception and wives' tales as much as information. For example, during the discussion of pregnancy, we were taught that a woman's first pregnancy often doesn't take the full 9 months, but still produces a normal full term baby. That's an old story used to cover the family's shame when your daughter "had" to get married - my great-grandmother was clever enough to realize her big sister didn't just look fat in her wedding dress.

Heck, just search H/A for sex and pregnancy topics - a good number of them are good examples of how poorly informed American teenagers and adults are woefully misinformed about the matter.

    Might I add this in:

Call her. Just follow this handy script:

You: "Hi, <name here>, this is <your name here>, we met last night at <place you met>. I had fun last night and all, but I'm just calling to ask you some stuff.. do you have a minute to talk?"

    Then:

You: "I just wanted to know, were you on the pill, and are you clean? I realize these are questions better asked 20 minutes before, then days after.. but I really need to know."

To be honest with you, I don't know many girls over 16 anymore that aren't on BC.. but that being said, I do know a few. And those few are far more likely to get drunk and "go crazy" with a random (guy)

I don't know if you got her # or not, but chances are she will tell you straight out. No matter what, go get tested RIGHT now. If you don't, you will spend forever wondering... and what happens when that girl you are dating for real asks "So, are you clean?".. you can't answer honestly. It is possible to get STD's and not know it for a long long time.

Good luck man, don't worry. Chances are, your not gonna die. Even if said person had STD's its not 100% you got them.. its more like 99%. :)

Just going to toss in a bit here. Sory for the spelling errors, and i am not a doctor

Gonorrhea and Clamidyia both show up on lab tests pretty soon after infection, like a day later or so

Sphylilis tends to take a bit linger to show up on tests, I've heard a few doctors say up to a week after the point of infection.

HIV, depending on tests and who you talk to, can take awhile to show up. HIV is very good at hiding in your system before infecting everything, and during that period you will be asymptomatic. I've heard it that after about 6 weeks if you come up negative, you're probably in the clear, but really 3-6 months puts you in the "free and clear" catagory

It's probably not shooting more, its just shooting harder. Sometimes with increased stimulus a guy can shoot harder or farther than they would normal, and that can cause some slight soreness the next day.

Though in this case its much more likely that its just friction burns or the pH balance of her vagina irrupting the tip of his penis
