So, the Grey Cup is one week away. It is the Montreal Alouettes (yay!) vs. the Calgary Stampeders(boo). So, anyone else excited/watching/going to this game? I'm an Als fan AND I get to go to the game, endzone seats! So, anyone else excited/watching/going to this game?
Felt dark planet turn under my feet and knew what cats know that makes them scream like babies in night.

I'd say the Als, unless their defense fucks up. Those guys are inconsistent. Some games they are just on top of it, others, not so much. I really want to see them beat Calgary at least once, teach those smug fans (went to the Calgary vs Montreal game in October, I have never been to a game where the opposing teams fans where such terrible, terrible people). And they have the home field advantage, but apparently the hosting team for the Cup hasn't won since like '91? Somewhere around there? But yeah, my money is on the Als.

Ohhhh, Calgary touched the West trophy. Montreal did not. Maybe Calgary is satisfied with winning the west? Will superstition play out? Will the Als drive be greater than the Stamps? Will I stop using question marks? Stay tuned! (PS I'm from the west and I hate this stupid west vs "frenchie" shit, makes me very, very angry. I like Quebec, I like the French. I don't really like countrymusic, rodeo's or wranglers. Hmm, maybe I should move East, and according to Calgary fans, eat much stinky cheese.)

And, um, the sleet that sometimes sheets the field? Sucks. At least (I think) the stadium we will be playing at is indoors.
weather conditions can really affect a game. It all depends on where the team normally plays or does not play.
Does the CFL have their Championship like the NFL does? Chose a different city year to year to hold it, or is it the team home field that has the advantage?
I prefer Canadian Football to NFL sometimes. I like the longer field.
Don't forget the girth!
I want the NFL to have the field size of the CFL and have overtime rules like the NCAA
What're the NCAA overtime rules? Something that ISN'T sudden death in a game that doesn't properly support the concept?
Each team has a chance on offense and defense. If the team winning the toss chooses to get the ball and scores, say a FG, then the other team has to match or beat. If they match, then they do it again until a winner is decided.

Much better than direct sudden death for football. Make it happen!

I think they cycle through each teams city per year. I'm not quite sure, but that would make sense. But, Montreal lost to Calgary twice this year. Buuuuut, I think that the Als can do it. Faith man, you just gotta have faith. Is George Micheal still alive? He seens like he would be a good cheerleader.

Last year was their year. They won the grey cup for the first time since '89.
Oh, no. That crazy dude in H/A was talking about you the other night. He was a nut job. Hello POLAR BEAR MAN.

The thread could have been so much.

I'm very sorry. May I appease you somehow?
Actually, wait. You guys ego search too much.

Each side takes turns with the ball on the opposing 25 yard line until one side outscores the other.

Just noticed, they look like Oak Trees.
and I never in my wildest imagined it would be a CFL thread if you did
go als, I guess, since your brother's on the team and everything (I hope he wins but do not care about the CFL otherwise)
