The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I doubt anyone is interested enough to go check it out, but I thought I would let you guys know there is a good sized article on my school in the newest issue of American Artist's Drawing magazine.
In listening to them both, I find them hard to compare. They achieve different atmospheres. All I've been listening to lately though is Savage love and Never Not Funny. Goddamn I love NNF.
So I had to buy this book for one of my classes to write a 5 page paper for. $35 book, no big whoop. It is a gallery catalog of a retrospective show. Too bad my entire town had about 15 copies of it amongst all the book stores and it is for a 75 person lecture. To top it off, when I searched for it online at the beginning of the semester, it was only available to purchase at the gallery the show was at.
Oh well, I waited until about 3 weeks ago and bought it online when it became available (through amazon). So I thumb through it, and check it out, my professor is one of the contributors to the book. I wonder why he had us buy it? Anyways, I do my initial read over the book to start getting ideas for the paper, and 3 of the pages fall out. The book looks nicely printed, quality paper and nice crisp images, however, the binding looks like hot glue and perforated notebook paper. The pages, after being flipped once or twice, get so weak in their binding that they rip right out.
I'm so fucking mad about this, because there is no way I will ever be able to sell this thing back and make more than 2 dollars off of it.
Your professor must have a hugeee E-peen "yesss. As you can see. From the book you just bought. I haveee contributed to it. Alsoooo I have a level 80 Night elf hunter and am in the top arena bracket."
Now I have all this exhibition money burning a hole in my pocket, I'm torn. New fridge or 24" iMac? They're both sort of completely unnecessary, but damn it I liked ice dispensers!

Probably something to do with MBOSâ„¢
Also, the guy who pretty much ran the camp I work at for 50 years passed away this morning. :{
Meh. Radio Lab is better.
Are you still holding seminars on how to obtain MBOSâ„¢?
Ira Glass is infinitely better than those dudes.
Enclosed was a pricey pair of glasses, a playstation 2 controller, a nintendo DS and five games.
The glasses is a bit of a hit but strangely enough I couldn't give two shits about the DS or the games.
Kinda wanted my playstation 2 controller.
edit; that sucks about your package, godfather.
They lose for trying to ship UPS over the border.

MONORAIL!
EDIT: Seriously though, good job on the tickets. I saw them when they came to Toronto sometime in October, and it was epic.
