The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
So i want to find a new online video game rental service.
I've tried using gamefly twice now, and they just don't seem to be ontop of the ball.
So i'm checking out the competition, which in gamefly's case seems to be "Gottaplay".
I'm thinking this might be a good choice, and if i'm looking at there map right they have a shipping center in my state (georgia), so should I give them a shot?
What about the blockbuster thing? is that worth the money?
I'll just chime in and say I used blockbuster for Blu-Ray's in the past and was plesantly surprised. Never had any issues and never had a lack of movies.
I did not use it for games, but I would assume it is the same.
Gamefly sucks, but as far as I know they are the only real company out there. There are a couple others but selection and delivery time suck even worse than Gamefly. I wish Blockbuster or Netflix threw their hat in.
GameFly isn't so bad, I've discovered. I hated it a while ago and recently signed up again because they were offering some special deal. Anyway, it got much better once I figured out if a game I wanted was "Low Availability" all I had to do was take everything else out of my queue and they would ship that game no matter what.
If delivery times are the problem, I dunno if anywhere else is going to be much better since GameFly is pretty much the biggest operation doing this/they have the most locations, etc. I don't know when you were last a member but they now have this thing where if your postal service does it, when you return the game they'll scan this bar code as it's shipped and log it as "returned" so your next game will ship to you before the one you're returning even gets to them. This works for me about 75% of the time.
I do really wish Netflix would start offering games, their service is pretty much perfect.
