This is an amazing movie that a probably very small amount of people here have heard about.
Oscar, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl who turns out to be a vampire. Eli gives Oskar the strength to hit back but when he realizes that Eli needs to drink other peoples blood to live he's faced with a choice. How much can love forgive? Let The Right One In is a story both violent and highly romantic, set in the Stockholm suburb of Blackeberg in 1982.

I would easily rank it up there with No Country for Old Men, and it probably deserves best picture of 2008 but since it's foreign it'll have to settle with best foreign film. It's also one of the top 5 best Vampire films ever made and has one of my personal favorite top 10 moments in film ever.
It should be releasing a little bit wider in the coming weeks, but if you don't get it in your local theatre it comes out on DVD in March. But I implore you to view it
any way you can. It's got a 97 percent on rottentomatoes and is pretty much being hailed by everyone who sees it. Fuck Twilight, this movie is where it's at.

no such thing
no this is basically columbine but with vampires instead of guns bought at a hunting convention
That's even worse.
Vampires are pretty cool though.
But not those anne rice faggots.
I'm talking like, Dracula from the movies.
Or Nosferatu.
I also Like Buffy and the Legacy of Kain.
THINK MAN
I THOUGHT EVERYONE WOULD KNOW SHE WAS EXEMPT BY DEFAULT
I'M SORRY, I PANICKED
so when they are monsters and villains
and not immortal emo kids
i gotcha
did you guys know the title of this fucking movie is inspired by a morrissey song?
like jesus christ
there's always been a sexual connotation to vampirism
but it's generally been viewed as a negative and invasive one
like as an analogy to rape
people actually enjoying getting bit by vampires and spooging their pants over it is basically anne rice's fault
a lot of what is wrong with vampires in modern fiction is anne rice's fault
Blame Anne Rice.
She started the decline with the sensual vampire shit. Now vampires are all emo teen goth fuckers. Vampires should be monstrous! Vampires who are not there to eat and kill should be the minority, not the majority.
(it's because im a huge ffffaaag)
The whole thing really did give the vampires a human side without making them immortal emo kids.
it is very hard for vampires nowadays to not be a bunch of flouncing self-pitying faggots
one of the things i liked about 30 Days of Night is that the vampires are just fucking terrible monsters with no redeeming qualities
Oh god that was an awesome movie.
Buffy did vampires right. They were, by and large, pretty much evil! Every vampire in the show was out to kill a lot of people, drink a lot of blood and generally cause as much chaos and violence as they could. The exceptions of Angel and Spike served to emphasize how evil the rest of them were!
They even had an episode where a bunch of teenagers who thought that vampires really were these sensual creatures got locked in a club and almost slaughtered, because that's what vampires do. They kill people.
I guess it's just that instead of an immortal crybaby he is an immortal badass out to save the world.
Only Technically a vampire.
