The city of Phallanston had never been a peaceful place. People always rushed down the street, it was such a bustling place. One could lay witness to thousands every day on the streets of this town, and never see the same person twice. Well, not likely anyone's going to be a passive observer around here anymore.
You see, all that bustling big city stuff? Yeah, that's what it used to be like. Now? Let's say more like Hell. That was before The Epidemic
. Hah... just saying those words, it sounds so tame, passive. Almost politically correct, like we're going to offend someone, huh? Screw that crap. Ain't nothing polite about The Epidemic
It happened about two weeks ago, they discovered it at Phallanston General Hospital, downtown. Well, discovered may have been a bad word. "Took the brunt of the initial attack" might be a better phrase to use. They still don't know what caused it, just what it looks like. A few doctors got out with enough knowledge to be able to identify it before the hospital was overrun by patients the doctors thought they'd lost to the illness.
Next thing you know? Everyone's got it. It's like, "hey Joey, how many frickin' zombies have you seen walking the streets today?" "Oh, only a couple hundred, Jill, almost got me, too!" and then you look around and they're still chasing you, and you run away, get to somewhere safe, only to spend another night in Hell. And you know why you do it? Because then maybe you live to spend another night.
Well hey, that's what being human is about right? Never giving up? Huh. Well we're certainly doing a good job at that... just, giving up, that's not the only way to die. There's also, you know, like, the Zombies.
It's a day we all knew would happen... all of us. That's why we keep swords by our beds, and we never leave home without making sure the baseball bat is in its proper place. It's why we make sure our back doors work properly, and open outward. More of us have made disaster preparedness plans for this accursed event than for fire safety.
The Zombie Apocalypse has arrived.
So are you a survivor? Will you make it out of the city of Phallanston alive, or will you become infected just like the others?
This will not be a strictly traditional phalla, however there will be only 2 factions, and one of them will be clearly and identifiably evil. The presence of neutrals shall remain undiscussed. All of the standard phalla rules apply here, check the discussion thread at the top of the forum if you are not aware of them.
Voting will close each day at 7:00 PM Pacific time (that's 10:00 eastern for those of you playing at home) and any votes and/or actions in at 7:01 will not count.
