putting videos onto ipod nano

I jsut bought the new ipod nano and apparantly it can play videos. I guess it won't play mpegs or something? So what do I do, what file types does it play and where do i find these file types?

    I believe iTunes has a basic video converter built into it but personally I get all my videos for my iPod from youtube and put them on my harddrive using www.vixy.net, just punch in the url code for the video and presto you can save it on your computer to put on your iPod.

    I second the Vixy.net method, but for videos i already have (usually AVI. but I think it works for mpeg too) I use 3GP Converter
