Mystery payments and the case of the money that shouldn't be

So, double barreled thing

1st) 2 emails from Paypal this morning saying I made transactions with Spare Change Inc and Jambool, which I didn't, these 2 are apparently sellers of digital currency for facebook and bebo and whatnot, I've done the obvious changed password and security questions as well as challenge the transactions with Paypal.
Anything else to do? Anyone had any experience of either of these companies?

Edit: Just got an email from Spare Change asking what was up with the PayPal challenge.

2nd) I just (last week) bought a few things from Amazon amounting to £200+, stuff gets delivered "Yay!" etc.
Thing is they haven't taken payment as they are supposed to, they pretty much always take it on dispatch, contacting them they say they've recieved payment, my bank however informs me otherwise. The money hasn't even been reserved as it should've been. The hell?

Edit: Sorted Fixed Super awesome

I also just remembered i bought Audiosurf last week from Steam and the money hasn't been taken for that either, Is my bank being retarded and slow? Am i getting things for free? or am I fretting over nothing?

Well for 2, just assume that the money will be coming out. If it's not out in a month or so, then you got free stuff. But seriously don't think that they didn't take the money just yet... Or else you'll end up screwing yourself.

    1) You did the necessary things. Just respond to the email saying that you never bought whatever they charged you for and would love for more information as to the purchase (IP address, date, time, items, anything else). This may help you determine what exactly happened. Perhaps you did buy something but not knowingly from that company ::shrug:: Of course, if you track your finances, then this shouldn't be an issue.

    2) Make sure you have an extra 200 in the bank for a good six months in case Amazon gets around to remembering to actually charge you. It could be something overlooked that they will find during a monthly/quarterly review. KEEP THE EMAILS with Amazon. If anyone accuses you of failing to pay, you have those to show that Amazon was perfectly certain you already had at the time.

Out of curiosity... were the two Paypal charges a total of 200 pounds? Specifically the total of Amazon's costs... because if so, you might have found something! Of course, if the first came before ever buying the Amazon items, then well that kills that idea.

Well, received further emails from Spare Change, they've identified the account used to buy the credits and are asking if i know or have any affiliation with him, I've checked his account and his picture, don't know him, so it seems someone has manage to get my PayPal info somehow.

as for 2) the money just came out it seems that they were just pretty fucking slow this time.

If you think someone has your paypal info I think you better notify pay pal and cancel the pay pal account.

    Done
and cancel the pay pal account.

Will do as soon as these mystery payments are investigated and fixed. Password and Security Questions have been changed though so it should be fine for the moment.
