TV Tuner for my PC?

Hey all, I have an Xbox 360, and I just now discovered the awesomeness that is Windows Media Center.

I would like to stream TV using a TV tuner from my PC to my 360. I know that you can buy a USB dongle, but does anyone know what a good product/price would be? I'm completely in the dark here.

I assume the channels that you get would just be the extreme basics (NBC, FOX, CBS, ABC, etc), right? (This is fine with me, since I don't have cable).

If the TV tuners are like a few hundred bucks, forget about it. But if they're under $100, please suggest some good ones.

Thanks.

Because, at the core, people are shit.

    Ok, here's another question:

I've ripped some of my DVD's, but when I try to play it on my 360 through Windows Media Center, it says the file is corrupt and that it can't play it. Why?

I myself was looking for TV tuners a while ago, but then I realized that with the digital tv changeover coming in a few months, it probably wasn't the best idea at this time; most tuners I found were analog. That being said, if you still want to get one, Hauppauge always seem to be pretty decent, and maybe you find one that is digital compatible.

I used the HDTV Wonder with my computer before I got my actual HDTV with an ATSC tuner, and I highly recommend it. Just make sure you use it with this software: http://watchhdtv.net/default.aspx

Don't use it with the bloated software it comes with.

The big question is whether you are using a desktop or a laptop. If it's the former, you can get a quality PCI TV tuner for around $50. USB tuners are more expensive.

If you have cable or satellite, the analog/digital switch won't affect you, but proXimity's comment about the changeover is very good advice if you would just be getting over-the-air channels.

This may seem like a stupid question but is your 360 not hooked up to a TV in the first place? what is the point of streaming tv to a tv?
