If I missed anyone please let me know. Jubeh - I have not heard from Materly at all and am ready to bump him if you want play tonight. I will be on after 8 CST again. If I am not, send me a PM here.
Also, MNC Dover and Fig-D is a round two match that is ready for playing.
Edit - RuffNite and I are up for a second round match as well.
Is there something I'm missing about charge moves?
I can't do them at all and when I DO do them, I don't recognize what I'm doing differently.
I just want to be a family man >;

If it's a matter of button timing, you can try doing piano inputs and see if they come out, considering you have a stick. I believe using piano inputs on all your specials is called the Daigo method or something, because that's what he does.
He disconnected from the room three times in about 20 minutes, but not from LIVE. It was always on the black screen after the VS splash too.
i get disconnected like this all the damn time on the PS3 one. VS splash, hang on the black screen, connection lost. its intensely annoying, and i know my connection isnt shady in general. it works flawlessly for everything else. i dunno SSF2THRD seems to just hate my connection sometimes.
Just in case you didn't get the msg.. good few games last night.. I'm surprised I stay connected long enough.. Sorry I left so sudden.. I didn't want to do that, in-between a match no less.. have to catch you another time.. deejay is coming along nicely!

He probably doesn't know what a piano input is if he's asking how do to a simple charge move.
A piano inputs is done by rolling your fingers along the buttons at the end of the move, so instead of f, d, df + P, you would roll your fingers along all the punch buttons. This is nice because the game has 6 options of registering the punch (3 for pushing the buttons, 3 for the buttons coming back up). This is good for wake up shoryukens (i.e. a shoryuken while getting up after getting knocked down) since you only have a 1-frame window to do it. I wouldn't recommend doing it for everything though.

yeah, I'm using the normal ps3 controller and i've had this issue with charge moves since sf2 turbo on the vc though it was slightly easier on the classic controller
and even though an arcade stick is crazy attractive, i have stuff prioritized over it

One thing to keep in mind about piano inputs too is that the game will recognize a press down and a release separately, so you want to press all buttons in succession, then release the first button after the final button has been pressed. Also, you're using a controller, so good luck doing a piano input...
I have a feeling you're not having trouble pressing a button at the end of the motion though. My guess is you're not charging for long enough. Super Turbo is really picky about making sure you've actually input the exact command. 2 seconds is a lot longer than it seems like. I found the down/up charges to be especially difficult on the controller due to fat fingering or some other fuck up on my part.
Go into training, hold back for 2 seconds, (count one-one thousand, two-one thousand), then forward + button. Do it in succession until you get a good feel for it. Trust me, it takes practice. I've been playing Street Fighter 2 and its variants for about 15 years (not very seriously, though) and I still screw up charge moves, mostly from not charging for long enough. Hope this was helpful
Anyone Xbox 360 wise online now? I fought some hella great matches last night against Taramoor and I'm still trying to get used to my new arcade stick, so I'd appreciate an invite if anyone's got one to throw around.
Alternately, send me a message on XBL and I'll invite you to the room I have up.
I'm up for a couple games. My joystick does some stupid shit where it constantly broadcasts on the mic though, so I won't be talking if you're OK with that. xbl: slayervin.
Classy matches, slayer. I am continually frustrated with my inability to do DP motions on my stick, though, but at least my Honda is getting pretty good.

I found a lot more success doing a "Z" motion rather than "forward + qcf" for dragon punches on my stick. Try that out, that might help.
GG's Fig-D. Did we really have to take each match to 5 rounds? My hands were shaky as hell in the final round. Keepin' you on the friends list for future games. I hope the rest of the competitors aren't near as good as you, I can't deal with the stress.

Also, I faced RuffNite in a ranked match (Cammy v Balrog)
Holy crap I got my face ripped open.
Lol it is a hard matchup for cammy to begin with imo. Since balrog is mostly in a crouched stance, try doing some cammy shenanigans like linking low forward kick to a hooligan throw. Can be very difficult for balrog to react to especially in network conditions. Also bait his low rush by whiffing a short kick cannon drill and then do a thrust kick immediately to punish.
Hmm can we change the game format for round 2? Maybe like best 2 out of 3 games in a set. Gives more time to adapt to your opponents style.

That's what we were doing. 3 round matches, best two out of three. If there was confusion about this, it's my fault.
It sounds like the only other round two match played was a best out of five, so we can do that if you want.
I'd really like to view the final round if its not too much to ask.
You most definitely did not get rocked. Your Chun Li ripped Cammy apart that first match, and I barely squeaked by in the second one. As for the Cammy/Honda match... well... I just guessed right on those torpedos more often than not.

Oh I thought we were just checking the Honda strength. We could have done something else!
Alright, good night.
I'll come play a match or two.
Good matches earlier from Chamberlain, Rockin'M, Flash, etc.

I apologize for jumping off right after the match. My family arrived and my daughter was demanding that I be a family man.

PMs checked, PM sent back. See you on in a few after I go home and sonic boom my family.
Great. You were kicking my ass last night and RuffNite is against me in round two.
This sets up Folken Fanel vs Taramoor for round two.
Still waiting on Mugenmidget - B:L and King Kong - TheSuperWoot.
Close matches too, but that Chunners keeps Boxer at a distance for the win in Match 3.
I'm still on though, anybody up for a SFII party?
Just send "Fig D" (Microsoft has something against hyphens) a friend request or invite.
