Okay, I've got to say I'm not a big fan of the way hitting menu button when your friends jumps on no longer brings up their profile. It was so quick and easy. Yeah sure sometimes you had to wait a moment until it dropped to access the main menu, or hit up the friend then hit back.
Still I'm finding I love everything else, and the party system is completely fantastic. Seriously, that thing is worth price of admission all on its own.
So I see that Banjo-Kazooie and Aqua Teen Premium themes went up today. Does anyone have pictures of those yet?
Also curious about this.
Yeah same, I'm loving the Hell out of the new Banjo, would like to see what the theme looks like, could throw down coin if it is snazzy. Kinda scared off by the fact it costs the same as two - three Rock Band tracks though.
Just a tip ... if you find yourself playing games with friends a lot on their 360s, I find that having your profile just being on your MU is the best way to go. That's what I do, and it's really convenient! No needing to "Recover Gamertag" anytime I want to play Rock Band at a friend's and still want access to my gamertag.
The only downside is that you'll have to always plug-in your memory card at home. Also, you have to be careful not to forget your MU. Fortunately, in the event you do forget it, you can always recover it as a backup.

No, I don't want your money. I just want your soul.*
Anyway, I got that tip from a friend of mine who works in the actual Xbox group, after complaining the "Recover Gamertag" was sooo slow. The same friend, who often jokes "Hold on, I know what I'm doing, I work in Xbox" later scratched my copy of Rock Band because he tilted the 360 while trying to plug in the drumset to the back USB port while the game was still running. Grrr.

This does little to instill me with confidence in Microsoft.
I really like the new dashboard update though, and it's awesome to play Dead Rising without getting a DRE every hour or two.

To be fair, he works in software. He's partially responsible for the awesomeness in NXE. I just don't trust him with anything physical or hardware-related. This actually goes for myself as well. We dorks can be pretty clumsy, but put us in front of Visual Studio ...
It's $3 for something to look pretty for the whole 20 seconds most people spend in the dashboard.
Yea. But isn't whining about the price of component(s) that are entirely optional and offers only cosmetic benefits getting kind of old?

Mild warning to those of you using the MyGamerCard.Net mini avatar sig and a line a text, the moderators will warn you to change it to something smaller.
See: Here
so again you guys are talking about going to some link and not linking it?
Jesus man, you're the one who chewed me out for bringing something up that's mentioned "every other page" when the last time it was mentioned was NEVER in this 20 page thread, and a handful of times in the old thread that was locked a WEEK ago.
You have some problems and need to take control of them. Like stop playing thread nazi. There you go, I just fixed your life.

I was just joking with you. We've all had those moments.
Is there any way to find out what themes are coming out in the near future? I like the free one that's got the urban, hip-hop thing going on, but I wouldn't mind dropping $3 on something cooler.

I was hoping with the NXE, they'd give you a better look at gamer picture packs and theme packs so you knew what the fuck you were buying before you bought it
Or maybe if they'd update that part of the Xbox site more than once a year

So I discovered something so awesome. Now I don't know if this is NXE-related but hear me out and many apologies if this has already been said:
Remember that handy feature that could close the tray in the event that you were just so damned excited about that movie or game that you giddily rushed to the couch, only to realize that you had forgotten to close the tray. The horror!
Well, I always thought it was odd there wasn't a button to open it...until the other day....well, sort of.
I had the tray open with some manly movie inside, it doesn't matter let's just say 300.I was done, so I was surfing through the dashboard with movie hanging out there in the open tray. Somehow, I accidentally pressed 'A' whilst passing through the "Close Disc Tray" menu. With lightning speed, I countered with a mighty protest and hit the 'A' button out of pure animal instinct (300 does that to me)...and then something magical happened: the tray opened back up.
Now it wasn't fully closed, mind you; it was in mid-motion to close, but still, it opened back up.
Okay, yeah, that's all I got, but you're all very welcome.

That's how it's always worked on my Xbox. I got a lot of use out of opening the tray through the menu since I was always alternating between playing things from the main Xbox drive and the HD-DVD addon.

I have obtained an additional 27 Golden Hammerburst codes. Shoot me PMs and I'll send some y'all's way this weekend after I've recovered from tomorrow. Those who PMed me last time after I'd run out will be the first to get them...after that, it's on a first-come, first-served basis. And I do accept bribes and promises of sexual favors to be paid by either yourselves or female family members/significant others.
Some of the premium themes would be more buy-able if they hadn't shat them up somewhere. The floating heads in the Halo Wars theme, the Fable 2 logo on the Fable 2 theme, etc.
It'll be like gamerpics/themes. I'm just going to buy the first one I truly like and that'll be it. I only bought one gamerpic set (NOD Talent Pack, just for the Kane/NOD logo pics), and I guess I 'bought' a theme by getting a Halo 3 360 console (MS, you better fucking gives us a new NXE version of that one for free).
They need an option to hide the stupid globe for old themes though.
I can not find how to enable auto sign-in with the NXE. I don't see it anywhere. Anyone know?
Use the original guide. Sign in, hit the guide button, and go to profile options or something. It'll be in there.
yeah took me about 10 minutes to find it when I first updated.
Why the hell didn't it transfer over your previous settings? So retarded.

I've noticed that no one's done any reporting on how skate performs after installation. I would love to but I recently traded out my copy. I would like to think that there would be some improvement for resetting your skater.

I would love to get one if you have extras, I never got one because we never had a midnight opening around here.
Has anyone with a 120GB drive installed as many games as possible yet? I'm curious to know how many you've been able to fit. So far I've installed six games and I have around 70 GB left.

I have around 10-12 discs installed and a good 20 GB left over. One was a gamefly game so Ill rid myself of that soon enough and once I reach disc 2 of The Last Remnant Im saying goodbye to disc 1. So you can fit a good amount of things. Not to mention I havent played half of what I installed....I just have them and figured...what the hell..I have the space. Most games take around 6 GB I noticed but the new Naruto that just came out only took like 3.4 it was crazyness. I found that odd because DOA 4 which my friend downloaded took 6.8.

A fun thing to do if your 360 is low to the ground is mess around with your cat by opening and closing the tray. Bonus points if you can hit it in the nose by opening it while it's sniffing the tray.

256 internal "MU" on the jasper board.
Now NXE has a home without an HDD. And awesome in general, plus another way to know if it's a jasper. No pack in memory unit? Jasper!
Oh. and jaspers are officially out it seems. :P
Sorry if in another thread.
That's awesome. I'd love to keep all my saves on the internal MU and keep the HDD just for games.
