There's a distinct lack of customization features.
They can't expect to nickel and dime people so soon. At least let us make decent resemblences of ourselves, so we care about our character's appearence and buy clothes and furniture for them.
Otherwise, it seems really cool so far, just marked by a distinct lack of content. I really like all the things that are in place already, and I like how the seamless interaction (with arcade games, bowling/pool, etc...). I'll just be waiting for more things to do now.
Also, did I hear something in this thread earlier about unlockable arcade games? Or are those things that we now have to pay for to put in our room?
I had a Namco arcade machine, I wonder if it'll work properly now in the new version. I've just created the new club (check op or just search for "Penny" to find it). I'll shove the arcade machines + some furniture in there when I get chance tomorrow.
It certainly has potential. Right now I'm downloading the Theater and Sully's Bar.
We can create groups, right? Is there one up now? I'd like to get in on it. All the features and potentials this thing has makes me want to use my PS3 more. In fact, I'd be up for some bowling if anyone is in.

Yeah, I couldn't really get in either. I blame it on my shitty DSL personally. I mean, I did get in once. And I was in the non-existent Penny Arcade clubroom (Like Grinch) it was pretty weird, since there was black "Access Denied" things on the bulletin boards and it was totally empty again. And then I started DLing my Summer House again, tried to go to Harbour Studio and Network Error'd out. And couldn't get in anymore.

Its fun to make a female character and time how long it takes for someone(or three guys at once) to run up to you and say hi and try to talk to you. Yiiiipes.
Bowling's ok. Was just about to finish a guy off, but he left the game as I went into my final frame. Fucker. Barely beat some guy at pool, though. Saucer pop is alright. A little weird of controls. And I tried one of the arcade games. Couldn't be arsed to wait for Ectochrome, though.

With all the options to customize your face, I'm a little disappointed you can't customize your body much.
Or maybe that's for the best. I can picture all the 36DD girls cybering with each other, and they're both guys in reality. Ugh.
Also, you can customize your face maybe a bit too much. I made the guy look like myself as much as I could, and the result is, he's ugly as sin. At least with the avatars and Miis, I can pretend I don't look like crap.

Okay, it would probably be at least a bit more entertaining if they had more than a couple of each amusement going on in locations. More than three chess sets especially. Maybe the ability to jump between instances so you're not waiting years for a god damned bowling lane to open :?

In and app sent. Messing with the tutorial, created a guy that kinda looks a little like me I guess. They didn't have the right hear really. Selections really are limited at this point. Downloading the central plaza now.
Edit: Ugh bowling alley is another separate download. All these individual tiny downloads are going to get annoying really quick. Any way to just have it pull down all the areas in a big single package?

I would expect that for the cash you get a special club house type thing to possibly decorate and hang out in, but that's just a guess.
