Drake Steel Fist Expert [LOCK]

I seriously feel like a douchebag asking here, but G&T seems a little broad.

I have tried sessions on end to get the Steel Fist Expert Trophy on Uncharted Drake's. Quick recap, it requires you to kill 5 enemies in a row in one punch, after softening EACH with gunfire. I have tried the boat level, the temple chase levels, etc. under easy and normal. I have shot enemies, where i have punched them out (seeming to meet the criteria) yet still failed.

No bullshit, on normal, I have followed the strat (shoot limbs twice, punch out, dead, repeat times 5). What the fuck is holding me back?

hmm, i take it it's not even giving you the medal? (there are still medals with the trophy patch, right?)

i've definitely earned the medal, if not the trophy. maybe try it on hard? easy and normal might actually mean you're killing the dude before you get the final punch in. it's probably a bit finicky and i think there may even be a specific 'steel fist' animation for the polishing move, so if you're shooting them once or twice and then going into a full melee combo it might not recognize it

either way i'll give it a crack tomorrow just to make sure it's not a bug

edit: if i recall the way i got it was to go through a whole long level (probably chapter 4) steel-fisting dudes. i think it eventually awarded it after 20 or so guys - but that was a long time ago so i might be wrong

You're not standing back, aiming and then running up to finish them off are you? What you need to be doing is getting in close to them and fire a shot without aiming. If you're close enough it should stun them briefly letting you kill them off with a single punch.

I've tried it both ways. First I tried aiming for the legs, shooting twice, then running at them. This gave me the animation every time, no trophy. Then I tried the run & gun method. This often resulted in me killing the guy accidentally, but even when I got 5 in a row (with animation), still no medal.

Success with the run and gun method! Finally got it on my umpteenth try on level 4. Easily the biggest pain in the ass medal on Drake's I had to deal with. Thanks for the input.
