At that stage though obviously Nina was pretty much the same as Michelle. CTU head-lady, Jack's go-to woman and such... Nina became evil way after she was cast.

Yeah but I couldn't see Bauer wanting to get his bone on with Michelle, Reiko just didn't have the same look as Nina.

Yeah, they actually did very well making Jack have a "type" that first season - Teri and Nina share a lot of physical characteristics, even if one is an imbecilic, vapid harpy and the other is a conniving traitor.

Man Bauer has terrible taste in women. Season 2 there was that ditsy blonde, season 3 the drug dealers chickadee, I don't recall a girl in season 4, season 5/6 was Aubrey.

I actually liked Audrey. She was pretty good in Season 4, and was understandably screwed up in Season 5 after believing Jack was dead for so long. Even then though, she still went to China to try and find Jack when no one else would, which is pretty cool. I was kind of sad when he finally let her go at the end of last season.

Oh man I forgot about her in last season. God, what were the writers thinking?

So I guess you guys were right.
Although I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed. I actually kind of wanted Tony to turn out evil to finally give Jack the ultimate opposing force. Still, it's good to have him back.

Maybe I'm expecting too much, but
I'm sort of hoping this will be the season that will tie many of the previous seasons' loose ends together. Bill said the government conspiracy runs deep. Perhaps the same conspiracy has been responsible for issues in previous seasons? Maybe they were behind some of the plots such as the group run by Jack's brother, or some of the other stuff I can't remember. As in, maybe it's one super-powerful group who is orchestrating all of these attacks every season in the background, and they have been the one infiltrating the moles into CTU and the FBI and even Logan, etc.
Can someone tell me what happened at the very very end of episode 4? The one I downloaded cut off when Tony was like:
If we don't get Mutobo out right now we will never get to the main General guy (forgot his name)
after that it cut off, what was the dramaticky ending?
Also about Audrey, I was under the impression she was still alive? I remember she had that accident or whatever in China, but then Jack found it was all a cover up didn't he? What am I missing/forgetting?

It was a cover up, but the Chinese had captured her and tortured her to the point where she was basically a vegetable.
