Manly Love and Cuddles For the LADIES [yaoi] - NSFW
So I figure a majority of the guys on hurr won't have an interest in the pretty boys I usually like to draw (read: Heero Yuy and Duo Maxwell), so here's a thread for anyone who's got any love for the boy smex. Don't follow the thread if this shit makes you uncomfortable, svp.
Anyway *ahem* here's one to begin with. Trust me, there's piles where this shit came from, haha. Me? OCD? Neverrrr. Bonus points if you know what famous NYC location of yore this grungy spot was based on.
Though for the record, anyone who's seen my fanarts of Tycho and Gabe, gay as they may look I def won't be posting them here because that's just... well, weird, IMO. Anyway, go nuts, girls, and have fun... but keep it clean... or not =P
looks like duo is reaching for the self destruct button
really cool line work here, although it sort of looks like you were trying to avoid drawing the eyes by hiding them behind the hair. barring that, i like it.
I'm admit i am a fan of Gundam Wing, but not for the same reasons as you Linkworshiper...
I loved the show before I became obsessed with Heero and Duo as a couple, if it makes you feel better. I'm generally a big fan of robots =D But thanks! I'm glad you like the pic. I have... lots of different-looking pics, but I'm glad you think it looks alright.
I really like how messy and detailed and crazy the background is compared to the foreground. And the subtle muscles are wicked too.
Noo idea where that is in NYC, but looks cool.
Thanks. It's based on CBGB's, which is (or was) covered in graffiti like that, so it was totally fun to go nuts with the ink. And thank you: I love drawing pretty boys like that, haha; those muscle shapes are particularly appealing to me.
I think your heads are a little too big in this one, link.
This is something I think I need to work on. Thanks for making note of it. I notice I especially tend to have that problem when I make the heads tilt upwards.
...um. Looks good. What kind of ..markers did you use?
Thanks, lololol. It was inked with a bottle of Windsor and Newton ink and a quill and then toned with Copic markers (as per usual).
[QUOTE=Grenn=CBGBs?
I've used the facilities there and they were about as clean as this drawing depicts. [/QUOTE]
Hahahahaha, OMG, yay, at least it's on the money. I used them myself, but I must admit that it's that gross, grungy aesthetic that I like. Thanks, though.

Haha, you knoooooow it 8D!!! Thanks, though; I'm glad you like it. I actually intentionally avoided drawing the eyes to draw the attention elsewhere... eyes are very expressive and I love them, but sometimes I think it can make just as much of a statement to not draw them.
That seems like a rather skeevy room in which to get it on. Perhaps for Heero and Duo that makes it more adventurous than in a clean bathroom? :winky:
That said, though, really great illustration, I love your style! How long did the graffiti take to do?
Personally I'm not a fan of slash because so much of it seems to be just butchering the characters. I have no strong feelings towards THIS pairing because I've never watched Gundam. I tried watching the Gundam Wing dub as a kid in Canada when it aired on YTV, but it was far too confusing to follow.
Also, omfg I'm so glad there's someone here as shamelessly girly as you. I feel like I can let loose and not be alone !!! [i'm a girl btw]
If you've ever been to CBGB's, you'd know that the bathrooms pretty much are exactly like that. Or they were, since CBGB's is no more D=
The graffiti was quick and easy since I pretty much just went wild with it. Probably about an hour or two. I can't really remember, though; I did this pic months ago.
Anyway, thanks, man. (Woman? XD) I'm glad you like it. I should maybe post some more, haha. I'm a hardcore Heero/Duo fan, so like everything I do is centered around them, lololol. I know what you mean about feeling like the characters are butchered, and I'm hardcore about pairings that at least have some base, like Heero and Duo do. I hate it when people just pair characters because they're like... they're two favourites or whatever. Though it does help that Heero and Duo happen to be, lololol.
Hahahahaha, alriiiiiiiiight. It should be known that there are girl PA dorks out there too =D

Hmmm.... i liked this better before I realized it was Yaoi :P
I do think that the blond's arm is too small (mainly his forearm i think... if he were to bend his left arm and try to touch his left shoulder, i don't think he'd be able to do it. That or the the muscle in his arm seems bigger than it should be... ) but that's really the only thing about this that I don't like (aside from the Yaoi lol)
I must have fucked up on the foreshortening a bit. I'll keep that in mind, thank you... I do tend to get overexcited on musculature. Go Team Venture? Hahaha XDDDD

Well, I tend to assume there's more than one piece of work in a thread and when I saw the pony tale I thought "Oh a chick, this isn't Yaoi....... O.O!!!" But its cool though, really well done regardless if its Yaoi or not.
Ahh, word. I'd kind of hoped other people would post their own stuff too, but I can always keep posting mine since there's *plenty* more where that came from, haha. But I suppose it's a good thing that you were able to tell Duo was a guy in my drawing, despite his hair. Thank you very much for your compliment anyway
So more artz? Voilaaaa?? Not as explicit either =P
I'm not sure you want to see all of it. Unless you don't mind seeing a lot of penises being inserted into other d00d's assholes. Don't take it all the wrong way and just drop it, okay? I was just saying that the comment was a bit unfounded since you guys have only seen like, what, three things I've drawn?
I would appreciate a critique that was based on my w hole repertoire as an artist and not based on two images. I find it ignorant.
Horseshit. As you say, you have a style and a style is basically an artistic algorithm. We can very well predict what your other work will look like. Wakkawa's advice was to the point and honest- if you're offended by honest critique it'd be folly of you to keep posting here.
Go ahead and post the rest of your work if you want- just be sure to link rather than embed the graphic sex. Even if people wouldn't look at gay sex, unless all of the rest of your work is sex, there should be more of it you can post so people can see consistent flaws to improved on.
Look, if you don't like the way I draw, then GTFO. The guys I like to draw ARE anime characters, so maybe that has something to do with it, I dunno. Friend said Is hould post this shit as a rebuttal, but it's doubtful even a fucking Renoir would change your flow. Jeez, what a cliquey bunch of ladies you are; no wonder you're chillin' on a thread that was meant to be girly.
I doubt any of you will even get the image reference.
Personally I think the rather cartoony hair style fits the overall cartoony style of drawing. Plus, hiding faces in intimate scenes is sort of a common concept; a quick glance through her gallery shows that it's not something she does most of the time.
Though indeed, Ms.Worshiper, being rather curt or even condescending in criticisms is sort of how it is here, so you oughta try to adjust to it. Arguing will likely get you... nowhere! Especially telling people to "gtfo" from your thread in a forum we all share.
As for the latest picture, I think you could have spent a little more time on making it a bit cleaner. The very rough digital paints make it look a bit like clay, or simply just rushed. It might help to tone down the opacity of your brush once you start working on more shading, so it doesn't look so blocky.
Your sketching is mostly strong with the exception of a few minor anatomical and compositional errors, but this realistic take on the anime look that you have in your paintings is a little gross looking.
Your skin tones are a tad washed out and your lips are big and pink. Neither of these should be happening, and I would suggest seriously taking a new look at the way you're doing things. When somebody tells you some shit is wrong or doesn't look right, you gotta think about it some. Play around with it, try something new, try mixing elements from different styles.
Don't make a post expecting critique and then take that critique offensively and post such gems as "If you dont like my drawing then GTFO"
That's not rebuttal. It's retarded, obnoxious horseshit.
e: Why the hell do you feel the need to rebut someone's criticism anyway? If you don't agree, then toss it. Ignore it. Move the fuck on.
And if you find yourself not agreeing with any of it, well, that's what we call a red flag. It probably means that you're pretentious. Or dense. One of the two.

Humility and a desire to look at all critiques objectively are kind of a neccesity around here.
If you're bumping heads this early on in the game this might not be the right forum for you, which would be a shame because you clearly have some talent.
Seriously, chumps like you that hide your crumbling skill behind style, bullshit meaning and sub culture are the worst kind of artist, because you refuse to progress. You... my friend... have stagnated.
Don't shade with black it just makes it look muddy. It's a better plan to use dark blues and purples.
Also the forms look odd in the face area and I think his nose is crooked. That's all I can see right now, other than how weird the hair looks.
Lips look good though?
And from the last few things you've posted it seems that the facial proportions are rather off.
Draw from life more, and probably read up on painting. All that stuff can be applied to digital medium.
Also listen to what Wak says, and never question it. He is better than everyone in this forum combined into some mismatched artist megazord.

guy on the left looks like he's leaning on something invisible though
Wakkawa: It's called stylization; I've been drawing forever, and that's how I h4x it. You want faces? HAVE FACES:
Which heads? :winky:
You really shouldn't cast aside Wakkawa's advice like that.
See, that's being a dick. Wakkawa did nothing of the sort. He was to-the-point, which is very different.
S'all I'm sayin'
