Hey Munch, I like that character (The one in color), looks pretty good to me, though his legs (Like you say I think) could be slightly longer, reminds me of "The Incredibles" in a strange way
Thanks, though I didn't design the character or anything. That's Booster Gold from DC Comics. And yeah, I wasn't paying attention when I was doodling him and gave him stubby legs. Dumb Munch.
Its long time I post something I did, its not very good, but I am starting to like the head and face style i've found, but I would love everyones opinions, I want to improve, I know the body is pretty bad, but crit please
EDIT: Image removed to save Pious
This one, I goofed off with in photoshop, i've just started using it and teaching myself so feel free to scream when you see how bad it is :?

Remind me to try photoshop later, and just get sketching down lol
Your art makes me want to run straight into a chainsaw. Which i'm in luck, I have one.
EDIT: TOO LATE!
Sorry, couldn't resist a good kick in your crotch. For serious though, don't jump into the deep end real quick, like photoshop, just draw for now, study real faces. You need to know what real people look like so you can have a solid foundation for your cartoons.
Problem was: the more near these lights pillars are to the viewer the more they come from the sky above. So the ones that go straight down belong pretty much into the back of the picture.
I hope they dig these old series out again like they do with lots of movies, too.
Like Queen Millenia (Queen of 1000 years), Beetlejuice, Bunny O'Hare, Samurai Pizza Cats, Count Duckula, Pandamonium...just to name a few of my favorites.
Yeah, I was a TV-junkie as kid ^^' Nice site for retro-cartoons (Has a nasty drive cleaner add, just x it off everytime it's a crook)
Every time I get inspired to finish something, it goes form cool to crap in a matter of seconds.
I don't know how to shade his skin. I don't know what tone I should use. Also, my shading is so bad, it looks like I used the doge and burn tool, AND I DIDN'T!!!
My history teacher is a very passionate, anti-authoritarian, rage against the machine, guy. He delivered the speech during class and it was spectacular.

Pious, this is just my opinion, but to me it seems like any extremely cartoony character looks a little out of place with realistic shading. The cel-shading vector style might suit him a little better.

Ok, I'll try the cel-shading, but I still want to finish it like it is now, then I'll try cel-shading it later.

Tried inking the lines. This is a fairly new character, so I'm trying to draw him as much as possible. Plus practising my shading.
The linework is done in Freehand, and all the colouring is done in Flash (Including the lines, used the Ink Bottle tool).
