the left girl is really good. the right girl is too, 'cept her left breast is a little high. The face is hot though. (left eye looks a tad high but not enough to detract from it)
Haven't been posting lately. Real life interrupts hobbies, sometimes.
Hah!
The goal is to make it in the style of French adverts from the 1920s-30s, i.e. strong outlines w/ expressive shading. I'm a little concerned that the guy's right arm is a bit long, anyone have an opinion?
Ya, but he says it in a more matter of fact way all "ya well what are ya gona do"

I think we are gonna have to have quite the massive Spartan 300 thread round abouts the launch of that flick. I am talkin bout a bit of the old ULTRAVIOLENCE.
Really nice new slight deviances from teh old compositions there Wakka, I think you've got Amano beat and are ready to usurp the FF design work throne. Needs more Bishy dudes however.
You cats struggling with necks need to be drawing some jaw bones wrapping around from spinal columns and dipping down out of jutting cheek bones. Look at some Schiele or Pete Chung or some other chiseled grotesque deformed artists to get the drift better, kinda helps understand by overexaggerating the anatomy.

I also assumed he was referring to the likes of Alphonse Mucha and Henri Toulousse Lautrec. Which would be just prior to turn of the century France. I don't know if wireframes is a good start for that type of art, I like to think those cats were very much about the silhouettes looking crisp and luscious rather than bulky blocked out meatbags. Wakka has the right idea, though slightly too value heavy.
Think flat tones, pleasant shapes, sharp angles, warped expressions and knifed on textures.
I think I got the torso and the hands good this time. Forget the head and the gun (they are just there... *sigh* I'll make them better someday) and I'm going to fix the legs below knees
seriously though. There's anatomy problems all over the place (not counting the ones you said you know about)
Figure is off balance. Shoulders and neck don't form a T. Forearms aren't tubes that scrunch at the wrist. Boobs aren't cones. Hips on down really need to be redone. Keep practicing... maybe try some referrenced stuff for a little while. It helps.

More dark shadows, and more highlights I suppose.
Check out my art! Buy some prints!
If you post something in here is it frowned upon to post it in your art thread also?

Ugh, I guess I've been shortening the legs by looking too much at the pelvic..thing. Thanksabunch, lyrium.
Matt: You seem to be having the same problem as me. :P
Frank: That's some bodacious babe.
Doodlewip.
Frank: Looks fine to me!
scosglen I like what you have done and you really should finish it.
sketches.
I don't know if it's the scan or what... but those could use some more contrast wakka
nicely done, none the less.
What a wonderful TOTP
Sketches of a character for an upcoming comic.
Any blatant errors/comments on design would be nice.
I've been reading too much Frank Miller lately
Nice batman.
"What, are you dense, retarded or something? I'm the goddam BATMAN!"
EDIT: Fixed

I fucked up on the inking and I should have taken pictures before I personalized the shit out of it, but whatever.
I'd be interested if you can tell who the dude on our left is. Without cheating.
How should I present it? I'm thinking going with cheap mounting + some kind of envelope. Def. not gonna frame it or anything, that's way pretentious.
This was my 1st xmas card this year, kinda scrapped it since it is void of ....cheer.
"X-Box had me at Halo"
Whoops! Good catch, thanks for the correction.

Right?

It's Freddie Mercury, quite obviously.
Thanks.
Damn, I think I'm gonna finish this one...
EDIT: and it really isn't ready yet as you can see. Well you can say something about it if you like
